In 2014,the Ministry of Education first proposed the "Core Literacy System for Student Development".As a Chinese language discipline in Chinese mother tongue education,it has become a key area for cultivating students’ core literacy.The promulgation of the 2022 Language Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education(2022 Edition)officially determines that the core language literacy in the compulsory education stage is divided into cultural self-confidence,language use,thinking ability,and aesthetic creation,and the implementation of core literacy in junior high school language teaching has become an urgent task.Modern novels run through the entire junior high school language teaching,play an important role in junior high school language teaching,and are a key part of implementing the core literacy of language.Therefore,this study takes City C as the scope of investigation,investigates and studies the current junior high school Chinese teaching,and proposes corresponding solutions.The content of this paper mainly contains the following four parts:The introduction part includes the background of topic selection,the combing and analysis of relevant research results,research significance,research objectives and content.The first part is the feasibility analysis of implementing the core literacy of Chinese in the teaching of modern novels in junior high school.The first is the theoretical basis of this thesis.The second is the interpretation of related concepts.Finally,the feasibility of implementing Chinese core literacy through modern novel teaching is analyzed.The second part is the investigation and analysis of the current situation of modern novel teaching in junior high school in C City based on the core literacy of language.This study used questionnaire survey and interview method to understand the current situation of modern novel teaching in junior high school in C City.First of all,on the part of students,students’ extracurricular reading restricts their understanding of modern novels,students’ reading ability is poor,and students’ reading thinking is limited.The second is the teacher side.Teachers’ perception of core competencies is limited;Teachers’ lack of theoretical knowledge of fiction;Neglecting the overall reading of excerpts affects the in-depth teaching of modern novels.Finally,there are the problems and causes in modern fiction classrooms.Due to the lack of practical guidance,no systematic path to implement core competencies has been found;The tradition of teaching fiction restricts the teaching of modern fiction;Neglect of fiction writing in modern fiction teaching;A single way to evaluate.The third part is a teaching strategy for junior high school modern novels based on the core literacy of language.The first is the student aspect,including reading excellent works;Master the method of reading novels;Communicate with each other and actively cooperate.Secondly,teachers,including reading core literacy related materials,reading a lot of novels,learning literary theory,and enhancing the ability to process novel selections.Finally,the implementation of core competencies in modern fiction classrooms,including the determination of teaching objectives based on core competencies;Conduct multiple interpretations;Task-oriented,organize classroom practice activities;Combination of reading and writing;Pay attention to the process evaluation of students.
