Labor education is a new requirement for education in the new era and an important content of the socialist education system with Chinese characteristics.Integrating labor education into subject teaching is an important direction for the reform of educating students.How to effectively integrate labor education into high school biology teaching and give full play to the educational value of biology is an urgent problem for high school biology educators to solve.In this study,literature analysis was first used to analyze the internal connection between high school biology curriculum and labor education,as well as the feasibility of integrating labor education into high school biology teaching,based on the "Opinions on Strengthening Labor Education in Primary and Secondary Schools in the New Era," the "Guidelines for Labor Education in Primary,Secondary,and High Schools(Trial Implementation)," and educational theories including speeches by General Secretary Xi Jinping on labor.Secondly,a questionnaire survey and interview method were used to investigate some students and biology teachers from two high schools in Huanggang City,Hubei Province,to understand the current situation and influencing factors of labor education in high school biology teaching.The data were statistically analyzed using SPSS26.0.Thirdly,based on the sorting of the compulsory modules in high school biology textbooks related to labor education,a high school biology teaching case design was implemented to integrate labor education.Fourthly,suggestions were made for strategies to integrate labor education into high school biology teaching.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)Integrating labor education into high school biology teaching is in line with the spirit of relevant labor education documents issued by the state and the requirements of the core literacy of high school biology curriculum,and is necessary and feasible.(2)Through the investigation and statistics of two high schools,the current situation of integrating labor education into biology teaching is not optimistic.The factors affecting the integration of labor education into high school biology teaching include:(1)The labor education guarantee mechanism in schools is not sound;(2)The lack of synergy among families,schools,and society in educating students;(3)The insufficient concept of teachers on integrating labor education into biology teaching;(4)Insufficient completion of the transformation from "knowledge-based" to "literacy-based";(5)The teaching design and strategies need to be improved;(6)The labor evaluation system is not scientific and reasonable enough.(3)Based on the excavation and organization of labor materials in the compulsory modules of high school textbooks,three teaching contents suitable for penetrating labor education were selected for case design and implementation,in order to provide reference for front-line biology teachers.(4)It is proposed to penetrate labor education in high school biology teaching through strategies such as excavating biological teaching materials,playing the role of the history of science,using experimental teaching,combining theory with practice,and strengthening labor evaluation,focusing on core literacy and teaching strategies.
