The organization of unit content with reading strategies as the main line is one of the innovations in the layout of the Unified Edition primary language textbooks.A reading strategy unit is set up in the first book of primary grades 3 to 6 respectively,aiming to help students master reading skills,improve their reading ability and promote them to become active readers through unit learning.As an integral part of the teaching process,homework is not only a tool to consolidate and extend classroom instruction,but it is also a significant basis for teaching evaluation and a vital way for students to engage in self-learning.It follows the idea of integration of teaching,learning and assessment.The unit assignment design based on Ub D theory has become a feasible attempt to optimize the assignment design,change the assignment form,give full play to the function of the assignment,implement the "double reduction" policy,and enhance students’ core language literacy.In view of this,this study explores how to design reading strategy unit assignments in elementary school based on Ub D theory from the perspective of reading strategy unit assignments.The first chapter is the introduction section,which collates and analyzes the relevant literature on reading strategies,reading strategy units,and assignment design through the literature research method to understand the current status of research.The core ideas of Ub D are interpreted to explore the inner quality of the theoretical model and lay the theoretical foundation for the subsequent research.Chapter 2 begins with a comprehensive reading strategy unit based on the knowledge system,the text selection system,the reading assistance system,and the practice system.Then,the unit focuses on four aspects,namely,the focus of the unit,the grounding of the student,the entry point of the task context,and the landing point of the core literacy,to demonstrate the appropriateness of Ub D theory and the design of reading strategy unit assignments.Based on Ub D theory,Chapter 3 explores in depth the theoretical framework of reading strategy unit assignment design under the guidance of the theory,including the connotation,characteristics and types of assignments,in order to provide readers with more comprehensive and accurate guidance on assignment design and help grasp the direction of assignment design.Chapter 4 understands the current situation of reading strategy unit assignment design through the questionnaire method,and finds that the current reading strategy unit assignment design has the problems of objectives focusing on knowledge accumulation and neglecting hierarchical goal setting;relying on existing resources for assignment content and neglecting authentic content connection;and presenting a single way of assignment evaluation and neglecting personalized rubric motivation.Chapter 5 is about the practical operation of reading strategy unit assignment design.Guided by the existing problems and the connotation and characteristics of reading strategy unit assignment design based on Ub D theory,the objectives and paths of reading strategy unit assignment design are clarified,and a case study is designed with the example of "improving reading speed" in the first book of grade 5,which is easy for frontline teachers to understand and operate.Finally,based on the practical operation,we put forward suggestions about the design of reading strategy unit assignments,hoping to provide some new ideas for integrating Ub D theory into the design of reading strategy unit assignments.
