Chinese is a subject that combines comprehensiveness and practicality.During the compulsory education stage,Chinese language teachers must pay attention to the pronunciation,form,meaning,and construction rules of Chinese characters,especially to help students develop good literacy habits.Currently,overall,research on literacy teaching is mostly focused on lower grades,but there is little research on literacy teaching in middle grades.This is because most scholars believe that Chinese language teaching in middle and even higher grades should focus more on reading and writing teaching rather than literacy teaching.In view of this,this study conducted a survey and research on the current situation of Chinese literacy teaching in middle and primary schools,based on actively absorbing relevant research results and fully reflecting on its research limitations.In order to truly reflect the current situation of Chinese literacy teaching in middle grades,the author selected K Primary School in Taizhou City,where she teaches,for on-site investigation and research.Through questionnaire surveys,interviews,and actual classroom observations of students and teachers,the author proposed some improvement strategies to address the shortcomings in current middle grade literacy teaching.This study is divided into the following parts:The introduction section proposes the background and research significance of the topic,and establishes the important position of literacy teaching in primary school Chinese language teaching;The literature review section mainly conducts literature research on literacy textbooks,the current situation and problems of literacy teaching,literacy teaching methods,and literacy teaching models.It summarizes that the current status of literacy teaching in middle and senior grades is relatively low,which is not conducive to the improvement of students’ reading and writing abilities in the future;The first chapter defines the concepts of "middle school grade" and "Chinese literacy teaching",and based on the theoretical foundation of middle school grade literacy teaching,proposes the important significance of studying middle school grade literacy teaching;Chapter 2:Develop student questionnaires,teacher questionnaires,teacher interview outlines,and classroom case observation records for middle grade Chinese literacy teaching in primary schools,to investigate and analyze the current situation of middle grade Chinese literacy teaching in primary schools;Chapter 3 combines investigation and analysis to analyze the problems and causes of literacy teaching in middle and primary school grades;Chapter 4 proposes strategies to improve literacy teaching in primary and secondary schools in response to the reasons;The conclusion section summarizes the entire text and points out that in the middle grade stage of primary school,teachers need to change their teaching concepts,improve their own understanding of middle grade literacy teaching,and strive to implement literacy teaching tasks.
