As an important part of the excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation,classical Chinese is self-evident for improving students’ ideological and moral quality and cultural cultivation.In recent years,in the primary school Chinese textbooks compiled by the Ministry of Education,the arrangement of classical Chinese has been advanced to the third grade of primary school,and the number has also increased significantly.Classical Chinese teaching has become an important part of primary school Chinese teaching.This change has also attracted great attention from parents,students,front-line teachers and relevant scholars.The research of literature teaching has become the content actively explored by the Chinese education community in recent years.This study aims to investigate the current situation of classical Chinese teaching in the upper grades of primary schools,and put forward corresponding countermeasures to improve the current bad situation of classical Chinese teaching in view of the problems that restrict the improvement of the quality of classical Chinese teaching.The purpose of this study is to investigate the actual situation of classical Chinese teaching in the fifth and sixth grades of a primary school in H city from the aspects of teachers and students by sorting out and analyzing the characteristics of classical Chinese selection in the senior Chinese textbooks of primary schools selected into the Ministry,analyze the problems and causes,so as to improve the upper grades of primary school Chinese.Countermeasures and suggestions for classical Chinese teaching.The content of the research includes rational thinking,investigation and analysis of the current situation,problems and causes analysis and strategies for optimizing classical Chinese teaching in the senior grades of primary schools.Based on the actual situation of classical Chinese teaching in the senior grades of a primary school in H City,the research collects information from the aspects of teachers’understanding of classical Chinese teaching,the establishment of classical Chinese teaching goals,the use of teaching content,teaching evaluation,etc.through questionnaire survey methods,interview methods,classroom observation methods,etc.We strive to objectively reflect the real situation of classical Chinese teaching in the upper grades of primary school,and on this basis,we will give targeted strategies for classical Chinese teaching.
