The Ministry of Education promulgated the "New Era Education Strong Teacher Plan" in 2022,stating that "high-quality teachers are the backbone of high-quality education development,and that teacher training should be professionalized and standardized,teacher development should be strongly guaranteed,and the level of teacher team management services should be significantly improved." Online training is an important way for teachers to improve their quality and achieve professional development.The new crown epidemic in recent years has accelerated the popularity and development of teachers’ online training,while teachers’ online training has developed significantly under the impetus of the new curriculum reform and information technology development.China’s high school geography teachers’ online training has the characteristics of regional training platform,practical training content,and interactive training time and space,which also make online training an important way for teachers’ professional development in the future.According to the training program proposed by China’s new curriculum reform,teachers should focus on cultivating students’ four core literacies in teaching at the high school level to deeply improve students’ geographic literacy.As a compulsory subject at the high school level,geography is also an important subject in the college entrance examination,which is of great significance to the comprehensive quality cultivation of students.This study is based on the current stage of online training for high school geography teachers to explore the current situation,dilemmas and solutions of online training for high school geography teachers in order to promote the professional development of online training for high school geography teachers.This study explores the current situation of online training of high school geography teachers,their difficulties and strategies to solve them,in order to promote the professional development of online training of high school geography teachers.Using the current situation of online training of high school geography teachers as the starting point,we analyzed the existing situation and characteristics of online training of high school geography teachers by using the literature research method,surveyed 174in-service high school geography teachers by using the questionnaire method,classified teachers into three categories according to their teaching experience: novice teachers,experienced teachers,and expert teachers,and analyzed the data by using statistical software such as Excel and nivo,and obtained the following results On the basis of this,interviews were conducted with three different types of teachers,and the results of the interviews were compiled.Combined with the previous survey and analysis,it was concluded that the existing dilemmas of online training for high school geography teachers include: lack of autonomy in teacher training,lack of perfection in school training mechanism,lack of relevance in regional training resources,and lack of diversity in training platform assessment.In view of the above problems,we analyze teachers,schools,educational departments and training platforms,and propose strategies to solve the dilemma of online training for high school geography teachers: teachers change their training attitudes and improve their motivation for training;schools consider their training needs and build a reasonable training mechanism;educational administrative departments formulate training plans and refine training resources;training platforms build a database of training resources and promote healthy competition.The aim is to provide strategies for online training for high school geography teachers,schools,education departments,and training platforms,so as to get rid of ineffective training,improve training efficiency,innovate training methods,and promote the professional development of high school geography teachers.
