"The feeling of family and country" is a traditional virtue of the Chinese nation since ancient times.The key to cultivating a strong sense of family and country lies in cultivating contemporary youth.High school students are in the shaping stage of their outlook on life,values,and worldview,and cultivating their sense of family and country is particularly important at this stage.Looking back at the current situation of teaching and cultivation in high school,referring to the cultivation of students’ national feelings,teachers generally tend to focus on high school history and political disciplines,while geographical disciplines,whether literature research,practice,and school-based curriculum resource development,are relatively deficient in combining national conditions.In fact,geography contains a rich humanistic spirit,with comprehensive and regional characteristics.Moreover,the selection of geography curriculum teaching resources is flexible and has unique advantages in cultivating high school students’ sense of family and country.Therefore,it is an inevitable trend to develop the cultivation of family and country feelings in high school geography teaching.This article analyzes and arranges relevant literature in the field of "home country feelings" by using Citespace software,and on the basis of studying the new geography curriculum standards,analyzes in detail the concepts of "home country feelings","the relationship between home country feelings and patriotism",and "home country feelings in geography curriculum".The research is based on Tao Xingzhi’s life education theory,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,and geography curriculum and teaching theory.Using the methods of questionnaire survey and teacher interview,this paper investigates the level of "family and country feelings" among senior high school students.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)Through a combination of interviews with senior high school geography teachers and questionnaires from teachers and students,this paper analyzes the current situation of cultivating home country emotions in senior high school geography teaching.The research shows that teachers themselves have a low understanding of the core concepts of home country emotions and lack practicality;Schools do not attach great importance to the cultivation of national sentiment in the geography curriculum,which has limitations;There are limited choices of cases in geography textbooks and few resources available to teachers;"The feeling of family and country",as a hidden ideology,lacks a specific measurement standard.(2)Aiming at the problems revealed by questionnaires and teacher interviews in the current stage of home country sentiment in senior high school geography teaching,based on the fundamental task of cultivating students’ home country sentiment level and cultivating moral integrity based on senior high school geography.Based on the principles of practicality,feasibility,comprehensiveness,and regionalism,five basic strategies have been formulated: improving teachers’ literacy and enriching classroom teaching resources;Carrying out practical teaching of geography and integrating life with practice;Pay attention to the content of geography textbooks and explore cases of family and country feelings;Establish the concept of human land coordination,cultivate the sense of family country community;Improve the evaluation system of family and country sentiment,and innovate the evaluation methods.(3)Theoretical research is the foundation of practical research,and practical research is an important means of theoretical research feedback.On the basis of theoretical research,the teaching design is conducted using the section entitled "Marine Rights and Interests and China’s Marine Development Strategy",a compulsory course in high school geography,as a case study,and corresponding evaluation scales are provided,with a view to providing relevant teaching methods and content references for senior high school geography teachers to cultivate new generations with a sense of family and country in their daily teaching,thereby promoting the comprehensive development of students.
