The national sentiment embodies a deep attachment to family and hometown,a high level of love and identification with the country,and ultimately rises to a sense of community towards the world.The middle school stage is a crucial period for establishing a correct worldview,outlook on life,and values.In the course of "Morality and the Rule of Law",more attention should be paid to cultivating the sense of patriotism among middle school students,and the concept of "patriotism" should be internalized and externalized in their hearts and actions.This article adheres to the principle of combining theory and practice,and through research on relevant literature,questionnaire surveys of students,interviews with teachers of the "Ethics and Rule of Law" course,and classroom observation,to understand the specific situation of cultivating middle school students’ patriotism in the current "Ethics and Rule of Law" course.Furthermore,the paper is written in the following parts:The first part is an introduction,which discusses the background and significance of the topic selection,the current research status at home and abroad,research ideas and methods,key and difficult points of research,and innovative points.The second part is an overview of cultivating patriotism in the middle school "Morality and Rule of Law" course.Starting from the theoretical basis of patriotism,the connotation and characteristics of patriotism,and the value of cultivating patriotism in the middle school "Morality and Rule of Law" course,the significance of cultivating patriotism in middle school students in the "Morality and Rule of Law" course is explored.The third part examines the content of patriotism in the middle school textbook "Morality and Rule of Law",summarizing the educational content of patriotism in the middle school textbook "Morality and Rule of Law",the distribution of patriotism education content in the middle school textbook "Morality and Rule of Law",and the logic of patriotism education content in the textbook "Morality and Rule of Law".The fourth part is a survey and analysis of cultivating students’ sense of patriotism in the middle school "Morality and Rule of Law" course.Based on questionnaire surveys,teacher interviews,and classroom observations,the specific problems and causes of the current education of students’ sense of patriotism are summarized.The specific problems analyzed include inconsistency between students’ knowledge and behavior,teachers’ lack of innovation ability,parents’ lack of words and deeds,and school activities being mere formality.The fifth part is the strategy for cultivating students’ sense of patriotism in the middle school "Morality and Rule of Law" course.Through the dissemination of patriotism from "students",students should strengthen theoretical learning,improve self-learning ability,and change their learning methods.The national sentiment starts from the "teacher",adhering to the principle of putting people first,strengthening theoretical learning,and setting an example.The teaching design starts from "new" and introduces local red culture into the education of patriotism,integrates patriotic themed activities into the education of patriotism,and combines fresh teaching materials with the education of patriotism.The patriotism is spread through "society",and through cooperation between families and schools,it helps to cultivate the patriotism,campus culture enters the education of patriotism,and good social atmosphere promotes the education of patriotism to cultivate students’ patriotism.
