| In recent years, taekwondo has developed rapidly and is particularly favored and loved by elementary school students. In April 2022,the Ministry of Education issued the "Sports and Health Curriculum Standards" for compulsory education, introducing taekwondo as an emerging sports program into primary and secondary education. This study applies the imagery training method in the teaching of Taekwondo character skills to explore the impact of imagery training on elementary school students’ Taekwondo character skills, their interest in learning Taekwondo character skills, and their imagery ability. This study adopts research methods such as literature review, questionnaire survey, and experimental research to conduct teaching experiments. The experiment takes some third grade students from Yihai Primary School in Fengtai District,Beijing as the experimental subjects.Through physical fitness tests before the experiment, the students are divided into an experimental group of20 and a control group of 20.After grouping, the two groups of students were tested using the Taekwondo Learning Interest Questionnaire and the Presentation Ability Questionnaire. It was found that there was no significant difference in the four dimensions of Taekwondo learning interest and the two dimensions of presentation ability between the two groups of students(P>0.05),and there was no significant difference in the two dimensions of presentation ability(P>0.05).The control group used traditional teaching methods during the teaching process, while the experimental group added imagery training method for intervention teaching during the teaching process, with other conditions being the same. After 12 weeks of teaching experiments, the research results show that:Analyze the significant differences in data using the Chinese version of SPSS 27.0.In terms of Taekwondo technical movements, there were significant differences(P<0.05)between the experimental group and the control group in terms of proficiency, accuracy, and expressive power, and there was a very significant difference in expressive power(P<0.01).In terms of students’ interest in Taekwondo learning, there was no significant difference(P>0.05)between the control group and the experimental group in the four dimensions of interest survey before and after the experiment. There was no significant difference(P>0.05)in the four dimensions of interest survey before and after the experiment in the control group. There was a significant difference(P<0.05)in the four dimensions of interest survey before and after the experiment between the control group and the experimental group(P<0.05),And there is a very significant difference in sports participation and attention to sports(P<0.01).In terms of students’ imagery ability, there was no significant difference in the experimental group’s kinesthetic imagery ability before and after the experiment(P>0.05),while there was a very significant difference in visual imagery ability(P<0.01).There was no significant difference in both kinesthetic and visual imagery abilities between the control group before and after the experiment(P>0.05).After the experiment, there was no significant difference in kinesthetic imagery ability between the control group and the experimental group(P>0.05),but there was a significant difference in visual imagery ability(P<0.05).The research results from the above three aspects show that the use of imagery training method in Taekwondo character teaching has a significant effect compared to traditional teaching methods.Based on the experimental results, the following conclusions are drawn:(1)In taekwondo character teaching for third grade primary school students, the use of imagery training can improve the positive interest of primary school students in learning taekwondo, reduce their negative interest, and significantly improve sports participation and attention to sports.(2)In the teaching of Taekwondo postures for third grade primary school students, the use of imagery training can improve the expressiveness, proficiency, and accuracy of Taekwondo postures techniques for primary school students. The use of imagery training in character teaching in China is superior to traditional teaching methods.(3)In taekwondo character teaching for third grade primary school students, the use of imagery training can improve the imagery ability of primary school students to a certain extent, and the improvement of visual imagery ability is more significant.(4)In the taekwondo character teaching for third grade primary school students, the experimental group of students continuously plays standard technical movements and watches action pictures in the classroom. When students practice character technical movements, they compare them with standard movements. With the guidance of the teacher nearby, students can more quickly master taekwondo character techniques and complete the learning of the entire set of movements. |
