| The "teacher-student relationship theory" is a doctrine proposed when discussing the nature of teaching, which emphasizes the teacher-student relationship and considers teaching as a special interaction activity based on dialogue, communication and cooperation between teachers and students. However,in today’s elementary school language classrooms, there is still the phenomenon of teachers’ "one voice" and students’ "silence",which is especially obvious in the language classrooms of the fifth and sixth grades-the classroom atmosphere is dull, students cannot actively participate in classroom interaction, etc. This silent behavior will also have a negative impact on students’learning subjectivity, learning ability and interpersonal skills. With the deepening of teaching reform,we realize that teaching should not be a one-sided hard output, but should be student-oriented,so that students can effectively participate in the classroom and build a benign teacher-student interaction activity, which can promote the improvement of teaching quality. Therefore, language classroom silence not only affects the overall development of students, but also hinders the improvement of education quality. Then it is necessary to focus on the study of language classroom silence in upper elementary school to promote the reform process of elementary school language classroom teaching. In order to explore the phenomenon and causes of silence in Chinese classrooms in primary and high school, this study is based on Bourdieu’s "field theory","spiral of silence"theory and dialogue teaching theory, combined with classroom observation, questionnaire survey and interview methods to analyze the phenomenon and causes of classroom silence. On the phenomenon of silence in primary school Chinese classroom,it is found that in the Chinese classroom of high school, the teaching behavior of Chinese teachers is dominant;the types of students’ silence are diversified, and there are two types of silence, positive and negative, but mainly negative silence. On this basis,an in-depth investigation and analysis of the causes of silence in the Chinese classroom of the high school section were conducted. It was found that the causes of students’ classroom silence include:First, the influence of cultural education concepts and classroom environment atmosphere;secondly,it is influenced by students’ individual differences, learning motivation, language expression ability, selfconfidence, psychological tension and herd mentality. The third is the influence of teachers’teaching methods, questioning methods, classroom feedback methods and unequal teacherstudent dialogue relations. In view of the causes of students’ silence in Chinese classroom, the research puts forward the following solutions:First, establish a positive educational and cultural concept. To dilute the negative face psychology and build a new type of teacher prestige;the second is to create a high-quality classroom environment.Avoid ignoring students due to the large class size, and strive to create a democratic class atmosphere;third, improve the enthusiasm of students to participate in the classroom and correct learning attitude.Teachers can face up to the personality differences of introverted students, cultivate students’ interest and motivation in learning, make students realize the importance of expression and participation, and give students confidence with positive classroom feedback.Fourth, update the concept of teacher silence and adjust the classroom teaching mode.Teachers should change the educational concept of treating classroom silence, actively create intelligent primary school Chinese classroom, and pay attention to the fair dialogue between teachers and students. |
