The Art Curriculum Standard of Compulsory Education(2011 edition)emphasizes that art has a complex and close relationship with human social life and is an important part of human life.Art Education can not only broaden students’ cultural horizons,but also enhance their love of their own culture and the understanding of other countries’ excellent culture,and identify with cultural diversity.From this point of view,combined with the importance of traditional folk art in China in recent years,and based on the guidance of the big concept theory,this paper intends to carry out the research on the development and practice of the Beijing Opera Mask Art Unit Curriculum in the art teaching of junior middle school,to enhance students’ understanding of the mask art of Peking Opera,thus promoting the spread and development of traditional folk art.The author mainly studied the teaching status of Peking Opera facial mask art in domestic schools through literature research and investigation,and conducted relevant questionnaire and interview survey among teachers and students of practice middle school in Fangshan District,Beijing.Through the questionnaire survey and interview results to understand the students’ understanding of Peking Opera facial mask art,based on the curriculum standards of fine arts as the guide to determine the unit teaching objectives,with the theory of grand concept as the guide to develop and practice the Peking Opera facial mask art unitary curriculum.The purpose of this course is to create a learning situation and shorten the distance between students and Traditional Chinese culture.Through solving practical problems in the course practice,guide students to gradually understand the artistic characteristics and cultural knowledge of Peking Opera facial mask art.Besides,the author increased script writing,performance and other links throughout the learning process,for the purpose of enhancing students’ interest in learning.Lastly,make a comprehensive analysis and evaluation on the completion of student works according to their comprehensive performance in the learning process.In addition,self-reflection evaluation is conducted in time to attain the objective of valid teaching.Through practical investigation,this paper discusses the practicability of developing and practicing Peking Opera facial mask unitary curriculum in junior middle school under the guidance of grand concept theory.This paper is divided into six parts:The first part is the analysis of the status quo of Peking Opera mask teaching research,mainly to understand the significance of the selection of Peking Opera mask art,show the purpose of the research,put forward the research method,and demonstrate the value of this research topic.The second part mainly introduces the concept of Peking Opera facial mask art and unit courses.First of all,the related concepts of Peking Opera facial mask art are expounded.Secondly,it discusses the related concepts of unit curriculum and big concept.Finally,the feasibility of unit curriculum development under the guidance of big concept is obtained,which provides theoretical support for the development of unit curriculum in the later period.The third part mainly through to the practice of Beijing fangshan district middle school teacher,student questionnaire survey and the interview result analysis solutions for teachers and students’ understanding of the to the traditional Peking Opera art and love,and according to the survey data obtained result shows students to learn more is not the Peking Opera art and aesthetic education in teaching of single class teaching way,This provides objective conditions for the development and practice of the unitary curriculum of Peking Opera facial makeup in junior middle school.The fourth part focuses on the questions in the third part of the questionnaire and interview results to put forward the unitary curriculum development strategy.The fifth part is mainly about the design and practice of the Peking Opera facial mask art unitary course.According to the division of the fine arts curriculum standard,the author sets the teaching objectives,teaching difficulties,and carries out the unitary course design under the guidance of the grand concept theory.The basic problems and small problems are designed to make each unit connected with each other.Arouse the students’ awareness of inheriting excellent traditional culture represented by Peking Opera mask art.The sixth part is the summary and reflection of the teaching practice of Peking Opera facial mask.The author found that there are still some problems and limitations in the course design of Peking Opera facial mask.In view of the problems found in the research,this paper summarizes and thinks about the development and practice of the unitized curriculum of Peking Opera facial mask in junior middle school and looks into the future.
