| Purpose:With the development of smart phones and software,it also provides a good development foundation and application environment for sports apps.The use of sports apps can change the inner emotional cognition of physical exercise of college students and improve the intensity of exercise habit.Therefore,this study mainly investigates the influence difference of college students’ exercise instigation habits and exercise execution habits on college students’ physical activity,and explores the influence mechanism of sports APP’s intervention on college students’ exercise habit.Methods:334 college students from three universities in Suzhou were recruited to participate in this study by means of literature,questionnaire,follow-up investigation and mathematical statistics.Before the experiment,participants filled in questionnaires.Participants were required to report their daily exercise status within eight weeks after filling in the questionnaire and upload screenshots of the time and frequency of use of sports apps on the "screen time" function of the day(if they did not use sports apps,they uploaded screenshots of the time of use of all apps).At the end of the eight-week experiment,participants filled out the revised self-reported Habits Scale again.Results:(1)There are significant differences in exercise frequency and exercise duration between male and female college students.The frequency and exercise duration of male college students are significantly higher than that of female college students.The proportion of male college students with sports expertise or hobbies is significantly higher than female college students,and the proportion of college students with sports majors is significantly higher than that of non-sports majors.Moreover,the main purpose of college students’ sports is to reduce weight or fat,improve physical health,and increase muscle content to become strong.(2)83.23%of college students have used sports apps,among which 60.07%have not used them for more than three months,and the proportion of college students who have used them for more than 12 months is relatively low.College students agree that the main functions of sports apps are as follows:they can provide good exercise guidance,help college students make exercise plans efficiently,and get good timely feedback on exercise from sports apps.The main reasons for users to give up using sports apps are boring,sports apps cannot help users exercise well,and users themselves do not like sports.(3)College students’exercise frequency and exercise duration are positively correlated with exercise habit and exercise instigation habits.Exercise frequency and exercise duration increase with the increase of exercise habit and exercise instigation habits intensity.Exercise frequency and exercise duration are not correlated with exercise execution habits.With the change of exercise frequency or exercise duration,the exercise instigation habits also changed correspondingly,and increased with the increase of frequency,but the exercise execution habits did not change with the change of exercise frequency or exercise duration.(4)The students with strong exercise habit and exercise instigation habits were more active in positive emotions,while the activity degree of negative emotions did not change.All the major items of exercise dependence will be enhanced with the increase of exercise habit and exercise instigation habits.There was no correlation between exercise execution habits and emotion,positive emotion and negative emotion,and only tolerance and reduction of other activities were affected by exercise execution habits.(5)The scores of exercise habit,exercise instigation habits and exercise execution habit of college students who are currently using sports APP are higher than those of the group who have never used sports APP and the group who have used sports APP for a period of time but have not used sports APP recently.The use time of sports apps is positively correlated with exercise habit,exercise instigation habits and exercise execution habit.(6)Based on the use of sports apps,the proportion of active students in college students with low exercise habits increases more than that of college students with high exercise habits.The intervention of sports apps has a more obvious effect on college students with low exercise habit intensity.Conclusions:(1)sports APP can attract college students,but sports APP show low user engagement;(2)Exercise instigation habits was an important predictor of exercise frequency and duration,but exercise execution habit could not predict exercise behavior;(3)College students with strong exercise habit and exercise instigation habits showed higher exercise emotion;(4)Using sports apps can effectively cultivate college students’exercise instigation habits and exercise execution habit;(5)The intervention of sports APP can help college students form exercise habits,thus promoting students to improve their sports level. |
