| Teacher professional identity is an individual teacher’s attitude towards the profession he or she is engaged in,and is a synthesis of the teacher’s cognitive,experiential and behavioral tendencies towards his or her profession and individual internalized professional role.As the main implementer of physical education in colleges and universities,the professional identity of college physical education teachers affects the quality of college physical education teaching to a certain extent.Therefore,it is important to construct a scientific and systematic evaluation index system of professional identity.This study takes the construction of the evaluation index system of the professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan Province colleges and universities as the research object,and uses the research methods of literature,root theory,Delphi method and mathematical statistics,etc.Through the research process of initial selection of indicators,system repair and weight calculation,the evaluation index system of the professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan Province colleges and universities is finally constructed.It provides a measurement tool for effectively evaluating the professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan universities,and provides a theoretical basis for the measures to improve the professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan universitiesResearch findings:(1)Relevant explorations and analyses were conducted on the constitutive dimensions of the professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan universities,and indicators at all levels were initially sorted out according to the rooting theory,and passed the theoretical saturation test,including 53 categories,11 main categories and 5 core categories.(2)The system was revised through the Delphi method,and the evaluation index system of professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan universities was finally constructed by combining the opinions of experts,which consists of 5 primary indicators,11 secondary indicators and 48 tertiary indicators.(3)By calculating the weights of the evaluation index system of the professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan universities,the weights of the indicators at each level were calculated.Among them,the weight values of the primary indicators were ranked from largest to smallest:career values(0.3237)>career evaluation>(0.2373)>career perception(0.1863)>career expectation(0.1326)>career intention(0.1200).Research findings:(1)This study finally constructed the evaluation index system of physical education teachers’ career identity in Henan province colleges and universities through a series of research processes such as initial screening of indicators by rooting theory,repairing the evaluation index system by Delphi method and weight calculation of each indicator by using hierarchical analysis.(2)This study draws insights from the constructed index system for evaluating the professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan universities,and elaborates on the individual teacher,university and society levels in Henan universities.The study concludes that individual teachers,schools and society need to work together to help improve the professional identity of physical education teachers in Henan universities. |
