In the era of mobile Internet,children’s phone watches have become the exclusive social media for children.With the help of phone watches,children can interact with their peers online or offline,which is called "micro-screen socialization".Classmates are the main objects of microscreen social interaction.With the popularity of phones and watches among children,microscreen social networking has brought new changes to children’s peer relationships.So,how does micro-screen social interaction affect children’s peer relationships?By sorting through existing studies,this study proposes influencing factors such as device popularity,device attractiveness,and online relationships based on membership and social networks,which are components of social capital,and proposes research hypotheses for two aspects of peer relationships(peer acceptance and friendship)in combination with media literacy factors that reflect human capital.The study was conducted with eight randomly selected classes of fourth grade students from an elementary school in Wangcheng District,Changsha City.After the questionnaires were distributed and collected,gephi software was used to process the children’s online relationship data to obtain centrality indicators reflecting online relationships.spss software was used to analyze the relationships between device popularity,device attractiveness,usage literacy,online relationship network centrality and peer acceptance,friendship quality,and the number of two-way friendships using stepwise regression.Through hypothesis testing,it was found that for peer acceptance,usage literacy,point degree centrality and device attractiveness can have positive effects;for friendship quality,usage literacy,proximity centrality and device attractiveness can have positive effects,while point degree centrality can have negative effects;for two-way friendship quantity,usage literacy and device attractiveness can have positive effects.The study draws the following conclusions: First,the phone watch has become an important tool for children to acquire peer group membership,and it is also an important tool to promote friendship;Children have the opportunity to become opinion leaders,and at the same time,the use of literacy also reflects good social norms,which is not only conducive to social status in the group,but also conducive to the maintenance of friendship;third,because of the exclusivity of friendship,it is widely used to become a relationship with others.Online friends are beneficial to peer acceptance but detrimental to children’s friendship quality. |
