Abstract/Summary:
With the development of society and the progress of The Times,more and more women are engaged in work,and there are more and more "dual-worker" families.More and more families are faced with the difficulty of picking up their children at "3:30".In February 2017,the General Office of the Ministry of Education issued the Guiding Opinions on Doing a Good job in After-school Services for Primary and Secondary School Students,proposing to provide after-school services for primary and secondary school students.Urban area of Yueyang City comprehensive after-school service in 2020,to be an effective and necessary supplement of classroom teaching,after class service can alleviate the problem of parents to children,after-school service development is conducive to protect the rights of students to accept education,narrow the gap between urban and rural areas,promote the education fair,also advance the construction of primary service system at the same time,It plays a positive role in implementing the national policy of "double reduction".Through questionnaires,interviews and other methods,the status quo of after-school services in primary schools in urban area of Yueyang City was investigated,and it was found that after-school services in primary schools in urban area of Yueyang City have achieved a series of achievements: creating a safe and healthy growth environment for students,alleviating parents’ problems of picking up and dropping off children,and improving teachers’ sense of identity for after-school services.At the same time,some problems are also found: the supervision mechanism is not completely in place,the lack of diversified service projects,teachers’ active service awareness is not too strong,parents’ responsibility awareness is not too strong.The main reasons for these problems are as follows: the understanding of relevant subjects is not deep enough,and the protection of rights and interests of participants is not in place.In order to further improve the quality of after-school service and make education satisfying to the people,the following aspects should be done: perfect after-school service guarantee system;Meet the diverse needs of students;Expand the service mode due to school conditions;Build high-quality teachers;Encourage all sectors of society to actively participate in after-school services;Develop a reasonable evaluation system;Home-school participation in after-school services;We should guide parents to change their ideas,promote students’ all-round development,and give full play to the role of after-school service.
