Primary education is the foundation of national education.The professional satisfaction of primary school teachers is the barometer of the construction of teaching staff.Without the satisfaction of teachers,there will be no satisfaction of students,parents and society.Based on this,this study takes Meishan City as a case to investigate the occupational satisfaction of primary school teachers in Meishan City through questionnaire and interview.On the basis of the "teacher job satisfaction scale" prepared by fengbolin(1996),a questionnaire is compiled.The stratified sampling method is used to distribute questionnaires to 305 teachers from 10 primary schools in Meishan City,including urban primary schools,county primary schools and township primary schools,Spss23.0 was used to process the data of the questionnaire.Through the investigation and analysis of the current situation and main problems of primary school teachers’ professional satisfaction in Meishan City,combined with the interview with10 primary school teachers,this paper discusses the factors affecting primary school teachers’ professional satisfaction,and finally puts forward the countermeasures to improve primary school teachers’ professional satisfaction,in order to provide some reference for local education administrative departments and school management decisions,and also provide some reference for the construction of primary school teachers in other regions.The results show that the overall career satisfaction level of primary school teachers in Meishan city is above the medium level,in which the level of colleague relationship,self realization,leadership relationship and home school relationship is at a relatively satisfactory level,the satisfaction with work environment,salary and welfare is general,and the level of work intensity is at an unsatisfactory level;There is no difference in the professional satisfaction of primary school teachers of different ages and different marital status;There are differences in career satisfaction of primary school teachers with different genders,different teaching ages,different educational backgrounds,different professional titles,different salaries and different school locations,specifically,male teachers’ satisfaction is higher than female teachers’ satisfaction;The teachers with 6-10 years of teaching experience had the lowest satisfaction;The higher the educational background,the lower the satisfaction level;The satisfaction degree of senior teachers is higher than that of grade one and below;The higher the salary,the higher the satisfaction;The teachers’ satisfaction of the school located in the township is low.On the whole,primary school teachers in Meishan City are highly satisfied with their colleagues’ relations,and their dissatisfaction is mainly reflected in salary and welfare,work intensity and professional title evaluation.In view of the problems existing in the professional satisfaction of primary school teachers in Meishan City,this paper puts forward the countermeasures to improve the professional satisfaction of primary school teachers on the basis of discussion and analysis.From the three aspects of the government,schools and teachers themselves,it puts forward to improve the welfare of teachers and enhance the social position of teachers;Renew the management concept and optimize the management system;Strategies such as improving professional quality and realizing professional growth are expected to improve the professional satisfaction level of primary school teachers in Meishan City and strengthen the construction of basic education teachers. |
