| The social principal contradictions of our country put forward the party’s 19 has been converted to the good life is people’s increasing need and the contradiction between the inadequate development of unbalance.Among the problems of unbalanced development, the biggest imbalance is the imbalance between urban and rural development.Solve the problem of unbalanced development, continuously satisfy the needs of the farmers growing a better life,to a large extent depends on the urban-rural integration development. We should promote the full and balanced development of urban and rural areas, which is a major topic to be solved urgently in theory and practice.Since the reform and opening up,especially since 1984,long-term labor transfer has not only provided support for urban economic development, but also played an important role in lifting rural families out of poverty. Therefore, labor transfer may provide an entry point for this topic.Based on this, this paper studies the impact of labor transfer on urban-rural integration development. This paper firstly reviews the previous literature and the history of labor transfer’s influence on urban-rural integration development, and puts forward four theoretical mechanisms of labor transfer’s influence on urban-rural integration development through promoting agricultural mechanization production effect, human capital spillover effect, factor allocation effect and income backflow effect.Secondly, the paper uses global principal component analysis to measure the development level of urban-rural integration in each province.Thirdly, the labor transfer population as the core variable, the level of urban and rural integration development measure values as explanatory variables, using fixed effect model estimation method of labor transfer to make an empirical analysis of the influence on the development of the urban and rural integration. Finally, the mediation effect of labor transfer on urban-rural integration is tested. The results show that labor transfer has significantly promoted urban-rural integration in the past 15 years.By region, the effect of higher level region is not significant; The influence is significant in middle and low level areas. In addition, agricultural mechanization is an intermediary mechanism for labor transfer to promote urban-rural integration, but it only plays a partial intermediary role, and human capital spillover effect plays a specific role of covering effect.According to above conclusion, this paper proposes to accelerate rural labor transfer, promote the rural land circulation, and improve the urban and rural unified labour market. These findings provide a new theoretical mechanism and empirical evidence for understanding the relationship between labor transfer and urban-rural integrated development, and provide policy inspiration for promoting urban-rural integrated development. |
