Research On Group Work Involved In The Social Interaction Of Urban Retirees

The aging of the population is becoming more and more prominent in China,which has become a problem that cannot be ignored,and the quality of life of the elderly is closely related to the harmonious development of the society.Retired people are an important part of the elderly group.They withdraw from work and gradually get away from the main stage of social life.Many old people cannot adapt to the life after retirement quickly due to personal and environmental reasons,so that various problems arise.However,an urgent problem facing the retired elderly in cities is the problem of social communication.Everyone needs to experience happiness through interaction with others,and retired people are no exception.They also need care and help from the society.At the same time,the social work profession,with its scientific approach to helping others,is playing an increasingly important role among older people.This study took the retired people in X community of Huanggang city as the research object,collected data through semi-structured interview,observation and questionnaire survey,and analyzed the problems existing in the social communication of the retired people,namely,the individual cognitive deviation and self-closure;The content of social communication is monotonous and the way is single;Small range of social interaction,low community participation.In view of the above problems,group work was used to intervene and eight group activities were carried out.Workers evaluated the effectiveness of the service,and carried out pre-test and post-test with the help of interpersonal relationship comprehensive diagnostic scale,and the results showed that the group basically achieved the goal.The basic conclusions are as follows :(1)the retired people have the need to solve the social communication problems;(2)The use of group work can effectively improve the social communication problems of the retired;(3)Group work has certain advantages and can be extended to intervene in the social communication problems of retired people.Finally,the workers made a systematic reflection at the research and practice levels,including research methods,theoretical tools,intervention methods,practical process,continuity of service effectiveness and other aspects,in order to provide reference for social work intervention in the social interaction of urban retirees.
