| General Secretary Xi Jinping put forward “the construction of teachers’ team as the foundation” at the National Education Conference.From 2012 to 2013,“Plan of Construction of Young Teachers’ team in Colleges” and “Plan of Improving the Ideological and Political Work of Young Teachers in Colleges” are issued by the Ministry of Education and relevant ministries and commissions.Since the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the State and Government have attached great importance to the construction of young teachers’ team.Young teachers are the backbone power to play the vital role in the university personnel training’s system.Their vocational values not only affect self attitudes towards their careers,but also affect students’ attitudes towards their careers.The previous research results shown that professional values have a significant positive effect on the job satisfaction of employees,medical staff and teachers.The degree of job satisfaction directly affects the stability and work enthusiasm of the research group.Xinjiang locate in the core area of the “one belt and one road” initiative,and the high-end talent are in great demand in Xinjiang.Due to the harsh natural environment,slow economic development and weak infrastructure,the introducing and stabiling home and abroad high-end talents in colleges is more difficult than that in the eastern region.Therefore,it is urgent to stabilize and strengthen the young teachers in Xinjiang region.In this paper,the current situation of career values and job satisfaction of young teachers in Xinjiang’s colleges investigated through questionnaire.The differences of professional values and teachers’ job satisfaction was analyzed among different groups under different demographic variables,and the influence of professional values on teachers’ job satisfaction was discussed.Through establishing professional values to improve teachers’ job satisfaction,so as to achieve the goal of stabilizing the teaching staff of Xinjiang’s colleges.The research conclusions are as follows:(1)The characteristics of young teachers’ professional values are that they pay more attention to intrinsic value and extrinsic remuneration,and pay less attention to the extrinsic value of their profession in Xinjiang’s colleges.(2)The young teachers’ job satisfaction is at a medium level in Xinjiang colleges.The degree of job satisfaction from high to low is satisfaction of colleague,job,superior,salary,work environment and promotion.(3)There is a positive correlation between career values and job satisfaction of young college’s teachers in Xinjiang.The intrinsic value dimension of career values has a significant positive impact on job satisfaction through AMOS test.(4)There are significant differences in 12 demographic variables,such as gender,ethnic group,age,political outlook,educational background,and job satisfaction of young college’s teachers in Xinjiang;there are no obvious differences in origin,subject background,whether or not to hold administrative posts and length of time.Therefore,according to the current situation of young teachers’ career values and satisfaction in Xinjiang colleges,the author puts forward the following suggestions:(1)To implement the reform of the teaching staff to ensure the basic needs of young teachers;(2)To enhance the social status of young teachers and create a social atmosphere of respecting teachers and emphasizing teaching;(3)To enhance young teachers’ professional interests and lead young teachers to devote themselves to education;(4)To advocate young teachers are weak in fame and wealth,devote themselves to imparting knowledge with great concentration;(5)To strengthen training achievement motivation of young teachers and improve steadily higher education level. |
