When human beings enter the 21 st century, the development of information and communication technology has greatly changed the society’s demand for talents, and more attention is paid to talents with comprehensive qualities. The proposal of the field of "synthesis and practice" in primary school mathematics is in line with the urgent needs of social development for talents, and has been paid attention to in teaching practice in our country. The effective teaching of this part requires a scientific operation mode.As a new type of teaching mode,project-based learning is a learning activity to carry out in-depth exploration of real-world problems and an important way to cultivate students’ comprehensive quality. Therefore, under the background of basic education curriculum reform, applying project-based learning to "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics will certainly improve the efficient implementation of teaching in the field of "synthesis and practice",which has certain theoretical significance and practical value. The school level is the final starting point for the effective implementation of educational reform."Synthesis and practice" have shown a certain status in the construction of school curriculum culture, but the specific implementation effect is still unsatisfactory.Reforms in supporting measures such as training, teaching methods and evaluation systems are particularly important.Taking X primary school in A city as an example, this research carries out a case study with the application of project-based learning in the field of "synthesis and practice" as the core.draw the following conclusions;First of all,on the feasibility of applying project-based learning to X primary school mathematics "synthesis and practice",through research and investigation,it is concluded that the application of project-based learning to X primary school mathematics "synthesis and practice" mainly has internal advantages(S)management. The advantages of the model, the advantages of the internal and external environment of the school, and the advantages of teacher training;in terms of internal disadvantages(W),there are problems such as insufficient pre-class preparation, inefficient curriculum implementation and lack of curriculum evaluation for the implementation of the "integration and practice" curriculum. In terms of external opportunities(O)In terms of the application of external challenges(T),there are problems such as lack of school curriculum management, backward teachers’ educational concepts, and lack of experience in students’ practical activities.Using the SWOT analysis method, analyzing from the four perspectives of SO,OW,ST,and WT,by giving play to advantages, taking advantage of opportunities, making up for disadvantages and confronting challenges,it is believed that the application of project-based learning is feasible, and guide the next research work.Secondly, answer the question of how to implement the "synthesis and practice" project-based learning of mathematics in X primary school.Project-based learning applied to primary school mathematics "synthesis and practice" aims to innovate learning content, change learning methods, change learning forms, attach importance to evaluation methods, and form educational synergy, with authenticity, purpose, subjectivity, leadership, and practicality, comprehensive as the principle, pay attention to the role of driving problems in the learning method, focus on the core concepts and principles of the subject, take cooperative learning as the main form, and use the expansion of goals, the reality of the situation, and the diversification of evaluation in the learning content. The content of teaching materials of "Synthesis and Practice" is constructed, and the establishment of evaluation standards is formulated according to the curriculum objectives, content and curriculum concepts in the curriculum standards. In the specific implementation, the "drip experiment" in the "synthesis and practice" of primary school mathematics is selected for project-based teaching design, and the actual teaching is carried out with project development, project initiation, project implementation, achievement display, and project evaluation as the implementation process. Finally,it studies the implementation effect of "synthesis and practice" project-based learning of mathematics in X primary school.Using the interview research method, interviews were conducted among the students of the case implementation class, class teachers and parents, and the principal of the school,so as to obtain feedback on the implementation effect of the project. The results show that applying project-based learning to primary school mathematics "synthesis and practice" can improve students’ enthusiasm for mathematics learning, promote the reform of teachers’ teaching methods, improve the coordination between parents and schools, and promote the construction of school curriculum system. However, while achieving results, there are also some problems that cannot be ignored, which are embodied in: the restriction of traditional learning methods on students, the deep-rooted concept of teachers’ test-oriented education, the lack of overall management of teachers’ teaching in schools, and the ineffective play of the guiding role of family education..Based on the existing problems, this study attempts to put forward the following implementation suggestions: standardize management of students to improve their awareness of participating in project-based learning throughout the process, improve teachers’ ability to implement project-based learning, give play to the leading role of school teaching and research departments in project-based learning, and improve schools. For the construction of the "integration and practice" project-based learning curriculum, the implementation of project-based learning and the participation of parents are combined.
