A Case Intervention Study On Sustainable Poverty Alleviation Of Rural Poor Elderly People

In 2020,China completed the arduous task of eradicating absolute poverty and won an all-round victory in the battle against poverty.The poor people with labor ability and development potential gradually get rid of poverty in the large-scale development poverty alleviation.The special poor people with physiological poverty as the main body have become an important part of the remaining poor people,mainly manifested as the old,weak,sick and disabled groups who"have no job to help and are unable to get rid of poverty"^[1].Therefore,blocking the return risk of such poor groups and realizing stable and sustainable poverty alleviation have become an important part of poverty alleviation and development after 2020.The values and professional methods of social work are strongly consistent with the poverty alleviation work after 2020.As one of the three major methods of social work,case work carries out a series of service intervention through the use of professional knowledge,methods and skills to help poor individuals or families explore and use their own abilities and surrounding environmental resources,so as to stimulate the potential of poor households,increase the interaction between poor households and the environment,and build a social support system for poor households,so as to improve their self-development and stable ability to get rid of poverty,Finally,stop the risk of returning to poverty and achieve sustainable poverty alleviation.Taking village D in M County of Lunan as an example,based on reviewing and summarizing the targeted poverty alleviation measures and achievements of the village,this study combs and analyzes the poverty types,causes and characteristics of the remaining poor elderly in village D,and defines the common needs of the poor elderly in the process of realizing sustainable poverty alleviation.Using the method of case work,under the guidance of advantage perspective theory and social support theory,this paper carries out service intervention for a representative elderly poor family,and improves the self-development and stable poverty alleviation ability of the service object on the basis of solving the problems and difficulties of the poor family.Finally,it reflects on the intervention process of case work,and puts forward relevant countermeasures and suggestions,so as to provide research support for solving the problem of sustainable poverty alleviation of rural poor elderly people.
