| Since the reform and opening up,China’s graduate education has developed rapidly,and the scale of graduate training has rapidly developed to the forefront of the world.China has become a truly large country of graduate education.Graduate education undertakes the important mission of cultivating high-quality talents.However,with the expansion of the scale of graduate education,the quality of graduate education has declined within a certain range.Therefore,the continuous improvement of graduate research ability and the continuous improvement of graduate training quality has become a major issue of concern to all sectors of society.Tutors are important leaders of graduate students’ learning and growth.Whether tutors’ education and guidance are timely and accurate is the key to improve the quality of graduate education.Literature review found that although the relevant research results are rich,there are still few studies combined with the personal factors of tutors and students.Based on the above findings,under the guidance of social cognitive theory and learning input theory,this paper constructs a research model with master’s scientific research ability as the dependent variable,tutor support as the independent variable,and learning input and scientific research self-efficacy as the intermediary variable,and makes an in-depth investigation on the relationship and process between tutor support and master’s scientific research ability.In this study,466 valid questionnaires were distributed and collected by using the questionnaire survey method and the mature scales at home and abroad for reference.Spss25.0 software was used for empirical analysis to verify the above model and research assumptions.The empirical results show that:(1)tutor support and academic support,emotional support and autonomy support in tutor support can have a significant positive impact on postgraduates;(2)Scientific research self-efficacy plays a mediating role in the relationship between tutor support and graduate students’ scientific research ability;(3)Learning input plays a mediating role in the relationship between tutor support and postgraduate research ability;(4)Research self-efficacy and learning engagement play a chain intermediary role in the relationship between tutor support and postgraduate research ability.Based on the above results,this study puts forward the following suggestions from the personal level of universities,tutors and graduate students.At the university level:(1)build an integrated platform and improve the tutor management system;(2)Improve the intervention mechanism in the process of postgraduate training.At the tutor level:(1)adjust the guidance content and adhere to all-round guidance;(2)Change the guidance mode and guide the whole process.On the personal level of graduate students:(1)clear goals and strengthen immersive learning input;(2)Take the initiative to adjust and improve self-efficacy in scientific research. |
