| Depressed mood is a negative emotion that is very close to mild depression, and individuals who are in a depressed mood for a long time are prone to develop depression.Depression can cause a decrease in learning and thinking skills, physical discomfort and even self-harm and suicidal behavior. In recent years, the age of patients with depression is becoming younger, and studies have shown that about10-20% of adolescents have had at least one depressive episode before the age of 18,with high school students being a high incidence group for depression. As a group of adolescents, high school students have the personality and commonality of adolescents, and their depression has its uniqueness. Therefore,in addition to assisting high school students with depression,we should focus on what factors in their environment cause or contribute to their depression and intervene with them.In this study,a case intervention was conducted with a high school student who was depressed based on the ecosystem theory, combined with the interview method and observation method. The intervention process was divided into six stages: entering the client’s system(intake),assessing the client’s ecosystem(preassessment),creating breakthroughs for change(planning),coordination and communication(intervention),effectiveness evaluation, and closing the case. The results of the effectiveness evaluation showed that the intervention goals were basically achieved,i.e.,the casework helped to alleviate depression and achieve harmony between people and the environment by intervening in various parts of the ecosystem of high school students with depression.Based on the research process, this paper summarizes the reasons why high school students are prone to depression: imperfect cognitive development and susceptibility to irrational thinking;increased academic tasks and high academic pressure;more uncertainty about the future in high school;parents pay more attention to academic performance and a general "generation gap" exists during adolescence;attention to deep-seated emotional needs;and more sensitive and variable peer relationships. They are more sensitive and changeable in peer relationships.Social work under the guidance of ecosystem theory can provide the following intervention strategies for depressed high school students: first, intervene in the malfunctioning of various microsystems of high school students: analyze the individual causes of depression, discover the deviant cognition behind the emotions, improve the pathological family structure, restore the family support function, activate the existing peer network support function, and broaden the peer support network;second, strengthen the resilience and interaction among various microsystems;third, improve the resilience and interaction among various microsystems;and third, improve the relationship between high school students and their peers.Third, improve the external environment that indirectly causes mental health problems;Fourth, combine online and offline mental health culture construction and promote macro policy advocacy. |
