Practical Research Of Group Work Intervention In The Improvement Of Adaptability Of Urban Life For Rural Elderly Migrating With Their Offspring

In recent years,with the accelerating process of urbanization in China,a large number of rural labor force have poured into the city,which also drives the flow of rural elderly with their children to the city,thus forming a special social group of rural elderly.Facing the changes of social environment and lifestyle,the rural migrant elderly often have many difficulties when they first arrive in the city,of which the most direct face is the adaptation dilemma of urban daily life.In addition to the difficulties brought by the rural accompanying elderly through their own efforts,they also need some support and help from the outside world.Therefore,social workers should accurately grasp the practical needs of rural migrant elderly,and provide targeted services and guidance to improve their ability to adapt to urban life.Through the questionnaire survey of the elderly who moved to the rural community for half a year and the analysis of the reasons for the lack of adaptation to urban life in C City,C city was selected as the research object,six rural migrant elderly who are eager to improve their urban adaptability are selected as the service objects of this group work.Through the objective evaluation of the needs of the elderly to improve their urban adaptability,under the guidance of social support theory and empowerment theory,a group service plan is formulated and a support group is established.The group work method is used to carry out targeted intervention services in three aspects: interpersonal communication,urban shopping and urban transportation,Through the evaluation of the intervention process and effect,the effectiveness of group work in improving the urban life adaptability of rural migrant elderly is measured.The practical process of group work shows that carrying out group work can solve the adaptation difficulties of rural migrant elderly in three aspects: interpersonal communication,urban shopping and urban transportation to a certain extent,effectively help rural migrant elderly solve the problems of daily life when they first arrive in the city,improve their urban adaptability,make them quickly integrate into urban society,and help to enhance the positive attitude of rural migrant elderly in facing difficulties,Improve their sense of self-efficacy.At the same time,by reflecting on the practical process,this paper puts forward the integration of social work intervention methods,improves the professional skills of social workers,and suggests strengthening the care of children and communities for the rural migrant elderly,so as to improve the urban social life adaptability of the rural migrant elderly.
