The Practice Of Group Work In Improving The Mental Adaptability Of Migrant Children In Cities

Modern China's rapid economic development,in pursuit of a better life,a large number of floating population with family to economically developed areas,the resulting flow of floating children become city marginalization of vulnerable groups.City floating children are still in the growth period of physical and psychological,their heart was not enough to fully support the living environment,a series of transformations of sudden change,urban migrant children's psychological adaptability to become an important factor to affect their healthy growth.City floating children due to insufficient psychological adaptability problems vary from person to person,but to a certain extent,the similarities,under the perspective of social work,through the team work method to carry out activities that improve their psychological adaptability,can help team members progress together in mutual influence,for the city of the floating children mental adaptation,which could provide a way to improve the capacity.In the practical cases,5 social workers led the development of mobile children growth group activities with the goal of improving their psychological adaptability.Team members by their own ability is insufficient,the don't have much communication with the family,the school doesn't value and imperfect social support factors,all showed different degrees of psychological adaptability is poor,lack of identity and a sense of security,deviation of behavior problems.Social workers from set out actually scheme design team activities,targeted from five stages,namely,eliminate the strangeness,establish trust,cognitive self,strengthen the contact with end stage group intervention,promote the urban migrant children learning confidence and communication skills,strengthen relationships,and promote family harmony,and finally improve their psychological adaptability,excavate its potential in the face of difficulties.After the group activity,project tracking survey by questionnaire,interview method,panel member's performance in study and life,and in the form of group results tracking assessment to examine the effects of team work.The evaluation results showed that the group members were more confident and optimistic in their daily life after the end of the group,which proved that the group members improved their psychological adaptability through group activities.Group work in urban practice show that the adaptability of the floating children psychology,social work professional knowledge,the development of rich and colorful activities is an effective way to improve the urban migrant children psychological adaptability.Team work because of its unique team culture and the construction of social support networks,in improving urban mobility is more dominant position in the children's psychological adaptability practice,social workers are professional and occupational lead and guidance but also play an important role in it.
