The extensive participation of university student volunteers in the field of community services plays an important role in improving the quality of life of residents and promoting community harmony and stability. However, the service level of university student volunteers is still uneven, and there are contradictions between their abilities and service needs. At this time, social work, with its concept of helping people to help themselves and its professional advantages, can enhance the service skills of volunteers, which is conducive to optimising the quality of community services and achieving the functional complementarity between social work and volunteers, thus contributing to the construction of grassroots community governance in China in a synergistic development. This thesis takes university student volunteers serving the S community as the research target.Through individual interviews and questionnaires,we understand the skills required for community service and further target the issue of improving volunteers’ communication skills.Under the guidance of the situational learning theory and communication ability theory, the group was designed by focusing on three directions: communication awareness, communication skills and communication tendencies. At the beginning of the group, the volunteers were helped to change their understanding of communication and their communication habits;in the middle of the group, corresponding training was provided to address the lack of communication skills;at the end of the group, the volunteers were encouraged to form positive communication tendencies to try out their skills and improve their initiative and self-confidence in communication;finally, through knowledge review and reflection, the learning outcomes of the volunteer group were strengthened and consolidated in time. The research shows that the curriculum design of scenario-based activities can facilitate the transition from service practice to skills learning, deepen understanding and make up for the shortcomings of traditional knowledge teaching;the intervention of group work is conducive to the exercise of student volunteers’ communication skills through interaction and experience sharing, and injects peer support into the skills development process;the communication skills of student volunteers can be improved through The communication skills of student volunteers can be improved through the intervention of social workers in three aspects: cognitive change, skill learning and tendency improvement. At the same time, due to the complexity of skills and the limitations of existing conditions, this paper only takes communication skills as the entry point to explore the feasibility of the practical pathway of combining curriculum design theory and specific skills theory in volunteer skills training. |
