| In the past 43 years of reforming and opening,China’s economic aggregate and people’s living standards have generally improved, and the GDP per capita has exceeded 10,000 dollars, which marked the entry into a new historical stage of promoting common prosperity from the realization of the moderately prosperous society in all respects. However, there are still many problems that hinder the historical process, such as unbalanced economic development and social polarization. The people’s sense of cooperation is the micro-foundation for socialistic countries to achieve prosperity, development and common prosperity.Only when the people work together can these problems be solved.Cooperation not only profoundly affects the development countries and societies, but also plays an important role in the development of individuals. In today’s increasingly severe gap between the rich and the poor, children from families with different socio-economic status(SES)may hold different concepts of cooperation, and people’s sense of cooperation sprouts, develops, and matures in childhood and adolescence,so it will further affect the individual’s participation in social activities and the degree of contribution to society in the future, which will directly affect personal development and cause a greater gap between the rich and the poor. Therefore, this article mainly studies the impact of family socio-economic status(SES)on children’s cooperation level. However, domestic research on the factors that affect children’s cooperation level still remains on how the level of cooperation changes with age.Studies of age alone cannot show how the level of cooperation in early childhood is formed, the relationship between family socioeconomic status(SES)and the level of children’s cooperation,as well as the different types of children’s cooperative behavior. This paper uses the methods of experimental economics to study the influence of family socioeconomic status on children’s cooperation level and to identify different types of cooperators on the basis of the game of public goods.By analyzing the experimental data,we found that: 1)Generally speaking, subjects with low family socio-economic status have a higher average cooperative contribution level than subjects with high family socioeconomic status;2)gender influence the level of children’s contribution insignificantly under the same socio-economic status 3)The difference in the level of cooperation between boys in different socioeconomic status is significant, while the difference between girls is not significant;4)The belief about other’s contribution significantly affects the level of cooperation of the subjects, indicating that the expectation about other people’s level of cooperation is expected to affect their own level of cooperation;5)People’s cooperative behavior is conditional.Combining family socioeconomic status with the categorization of conditional cooperators, our findings suggest that in general the subjects from low family socioeconomic exhibit higher average levels of cooperative contribution than those from high SES.Even if this conclusion is not so consistent with traditional cognition, there are studies showing that children with low SES are more willing to cooperate;in addition,in terms of the classification proportion of conditional collaborators, the classification proportion of high SES children is closer to that of adults.Though the low SES subjects are more willing to cooperate, the proportion of participants with specific cooperation types is more complex and abnormal, and there is a certain gap with the normal classification. Therefore, despite the fact that the overall cooperation level of low SES subjects is higher, the overall situation is not allowed to be optimistic. The research in this article shows that family socioeconomic status has a significant impact on children’s cooperation level. The common prosperity of the initial stage of socialism should not stop at letting some people get rich first, but should also push the rich to promote the other to get rich, and ultimately achieve common prosperity.Family education should not only emphasize personal development, but also cultivate children’s awareness of cooperation and mutual assistance from an early age.It is imperative to attach importance to moral education in primary and secondary schools, but it is more important to strengthen the positive guiding role of the family. The family is the first school for a child, and parents are the best teachers for the child.Parents should give more understanding, care and companionship during the growth and development of the child, guide the child to establish a sense of morality and cooperation from an early age, which lay the foundation for personal perpetual development and social stability. |
