| The intensification of China’s population aging trend and the weakening of family pension function not only bring great pressure to social and economic development,but also bring new opportunities to the development of pension industry.In recent years,in order to meet the pension needs of the majority of elderly groups and reduce the burden of family pension,many pension institutions continue to carry out aging transformation and upgrading of hardware.Although complete elderly care facilities can provide good material guarantee for the elderly in their later years,the neglect of the psychological care needs of the elderly or the lack of other humanized services will endanger the physical and mental health of the elderly in institutions and bring a series of problems,the most prominent of which is the maladjustment of the elderly in institutions for the first time.If the elderly suddenly leave their familiar living environment and move into institutions,it is easy to have maladjustment problems.If they can’t be solved in time,it will seriously affect the quality of life of the elderly,and even induce all kinds of emotional distress and psychological problems.This research takes the new elderly L in Y elderly care institution in Ganzhou,Jiangxi Province as an example.Through the use of literature,observation and interview methods,this study collects and analyzes the basic information of the case,and finds that the maladjustment problems of the case owner are mainly reflected in three aspects: environment,psychology and interpersonal relationship.The specific manifestations are not accustomed to work and rest and diet,strong loneliness,obvious anxiety and depression,poor interpersonal relationship and so on.The main causes of maladjustment are that the service objects are the elderly who are involuntarily admitted,lack of security and trust in the unfamiliar environment,lack of harmonious relationship with their families,low self-evaluation and so on.In the process of specific case intervention,the author first formulated a four stage intervention plan for the service object in combination with psycho-social development theory and social support theory,so as to help the service object get familiar with the institution’s system and environment,adjust diet and work and rest,change self-evaluation,alleviate anxiety and depression,and improve interpersonal relations;Secondly,seven interventions were carried out on the service objects by using the methods and skills of case work;Finally,through the process evaluation and result evaluation,the author found that this case intervention has achieved good results,helped the service object successfully solve the problem of maladjustment,and improved the adaptability to a certain extent.The author puts forward three suggestions from the perspective of social work.First of all,we should help the elderly to ensure physical and mental health and harmonious and stable family relations;Secondly,we should be good at using professional methods and skills to help the elderly change their self-evaluation and alleviate anxiety;Finally,we need to try our best to help the elderly improve their social support network in elderly care institutions. |
