A Study On The Social Case Work Intervention In Parental Education Of A Criminal Juvenile Family

At present,juvenile crimes are high and the types of juvenile crimes are increasingly complex.The community correction work for criminal juvenile is somewhat different from the correction work for criminal adults.But in many places,the difference between them is just reflected in the strict and loose management of correction practice,less focus on the particularities of the juvenile community correction objects.Nowadays,the public pay more attention to the juvenile in community correction,but pay less attention to the family of juvenile community correction,especially the parents.It can limit the effect of current juvenile community correction work.At the same time,the parents of juvenile correction objects lack enough attention to how to better help juveniles to accept correction and promote personal growth,and lack the corresponding education ability.It is urgent to carry out parental education for them to improve the effect of criminal juvenile community correction.This study selected the family of juvenile Y in T judicial institute as the research object and used interview method,observation method and scale method to collect information and understand the current problems related to the family of criminal juvenile and the plight of parental family education.On this basis,carry out parental education for the criminal juvenile family by social work and try to help the clients solve the problems.The study found that because the juvenile of the family is faced with the crisis in which juvenile causing criminal case and there are some problems such as imperfect family structure and family dysfunction.At the same time,the clients also have problems such as lack of scientific rearing methods and ideas,unstable family relations and insufficient legal educational skills of parents,which can make the correction effect of juvenile community correction be limited.On the basis of empirical investigation,combining the actual situation with the needs of the clients which is for formulating the target plan and try to carry out parental education for the family protectors of the juvenile community correction objects via social work to help parents improve their own ability of solving family problems and enhance their skills of parent-child communication.Therefore,social workers take the case work with perspective of family crisis theory and cognitive behavior theory and focus on the intervention in resolving the family crisis,improve communication skills of family members and promote the educational ability of the juvenile community correction object’ parents.For improving the family relationship and the education concept and parenting mode of clients.Then improve the effect of juvenile community correction and promote the comprehensive development of juvenile community correction object.Through the intervention of case work,the family crisis was successfully resolved,the family relationship was significantly improved and the educational ability of the parents of juvenile correction object was significantly improved.Then contribute to improve the effect of juvenile community correction and comprehensive development of juvenile.The research shows that the social case work intervention in parental education for the parents of juvenile community correction objects can improve the effect of juvenile community correction and promote the personal development.Because of the case itself characteristics,this study also has some limitations and is not necessarily applicable to all researches of juvenile community correction,but it partly provides a new way for the development of juvenile community correction work which helps to promote the practice of juvenile community correction work and provide some advice for imperfect relevant policies.
