Group Work On The Improvement Of Humanistic Care Ability Of Elderly Care Workers In Pension Institutions

With the acceleration of the aging society in our country,the public’s demand for institutional elderly care was growing stronger,therefore,elderly care workers in nursing homes face huge challenges as the main undertaker of pension work.At present,elderly care institutions had insufficient services for the humanistic care of the elderly,and the work content of elderly care workers only stayed in basic life care.Relevant research showed that nursing staff in my country was still in the early stage of the development of humanistic care,and the knowledge and skills of elderly care workers in nursing homes were not optimistic.Besides,the humanistic care ability needed to be improved in an all-round way,and the relevant talent pool of professional nursing staff was far from meeting the needs of high-quality elderly care services.Therefore,it was undoubtedly an important topic to cultivate and enhance the humanistic care service ability of nursing staff in nursing homes and improve the quality of nursing services.Firstly,this article aimed to pass a professional social work perspective,relying on Y Nursing Home Nursing service team,used literature research and field interviews,extracted the specific elements of humanistic caring ability,it was found that nursing staff in Y nursing home generally had needed for exploring the meaning of humanistic care,improving communication skills,and acquiring experience-based information.Secondly,the author was based on empowerment theory and humanism,invited a group of 6 nursing staff in the nursing home,intervened from multiple dimensions such as the cognition,courage,and patience of the nurses,assisted nurses to improve their personal abilities in the process of practice,from "self-affirmation" to "multi-dimensional growth".Finally,through the evaluation of the effectiveness of the nursing staff’s humanistic care ability improvement group,the author deeply analyzed the changes brought about by the intervention of the group work on the elderly care workers humanistic care ability,this expanded the practice areas of group work and community work,and to some extent contributes to the nurturing and development of local care teams.Based on the investigation of the current situation of nursing staff’s humanistic care ability in Y nursing home and the process of group intervention,the author aimed at how to effectively improve the humanistic caring ability of elderly care workers,the following suggestions were made from multiple perspectives: Firstly,gave full play to the professional advantages of social work,and strengthened the ability to promote the humanistic care of nursing personnel;Secondly,according to the characteristics of local culture,helped elderly care workers improve their humanistic care capabilities;Thirdly,strengthened publicity and guidance,and enhanced the attention and protection of elderly care workers.
