Research On Social Work Intervention In Community Care Services For Migrant Children

Nowadays the number of migrant children is increasing,the problem of migrant children is prominent,and the supply and demand of child care is unbalanced.In this context,the development of community care services for migrant children is conducive to changing their multiple vulnerable status and promoting their growth and development.From the perspective of practical research,this article aims at J community in S city,which has a large number of migrant children and obvious lack of migrant children’s care,to implement the project of children companion and carry out action research on community care services for migrant children.The research has four steps,which are problem analysis,action design,action implementation and action evaluation.The article uses literature method,interview method and observation method to collect data.Based on the community care model and the Erikson’s personality development theory,the article explores the services of social work intervention in community care services for migrant children.According to the research,there is serious lack of community care services for migrant children in J community and the current services are simple.There are problems such as insufficient social service strength,shrinking service funds,neglect of intervention for migrant families and neglect of children’s deep needs.Migrant children from dual-worker families in the community face high safety risks and have low adaptability.Migrant children have the needs of community care such as custody care,safety guarantee,capacity development,psychological support and so on.In this regard,the research designs and carries out the project of children companion.The project adopts the mode of three societies linkage and unites community care subjects to build a community care platform.Specific services include custody care,quality development activities,safety education and experience services,interest activities,individualized psychological support and so on.A series of social work interventions not only integrated formal care and informal care,but also created an effective care network for migrant children from dual-worker families.Based on the action research,the article found and refined the framework of social work intervention in the community care services for migrant children.The framework includes multi-subjects linkage,service platform construction,service mechanism construction and series of services,which provides practical reference for the development of community care services for migrant children.
