| Fuyuan,a historic city which lies in the area of the Sino Russian border,is in process of the development of sports tourism.The main reason for this phenomenon is the completion of the "China Mongolia Russia economic corridor".To further investigate the situation of sports tourism in Fuyuan,in this paper we adopt several research methods e.g.,questionnaire and field investigation to study the development of sports tourism resources in the "East pole of China".The main propose of this work is to establish a more influential border tourism area and enrich the relevant theories of border sports tourism by exploring the sports tourism resources with regional and national characteristics.This study will help to integrate the tourism resources with the sports resources in Fuyuan city and promote the sustainable development of tourism in border areas.Besides,we also give several concrete theoretical suggestions for Fuyuan government departments to improve local sports tourism.The results show that:(1)Fuyuan has significant advantages in climate conditions,ecological resources and natural sports tourism resources.It has developed many tourism products and has the ability to host sports tourism events.In addition,the construction of "China Mongolia Russia economic corridor" has paved the way for the development of sports tourism resources.(2)The county economic foundation is relatively weak,the sports tourism infrastructure is relatively scarce,the lack of characteristic sports tourism projects,the shortage of sports tourism compound talents,and the relatively low comprehensive quality of sports tourism practitioners restrict the development of sports tourism resources in Fuyuan city.(3)At present,most of the sports tourism projects developed in Fuyuan city are mainly ornamental "fishing culture" and competitive activities,supplemented by leisure sports,lacking entertainment and tourist experience.Wetland themed amusement,summer leisure and health care,exotic experience and folk traditional sports culture have great development potential.(4)The tourist source of sports tourism in Fuyuan is characterized by a balanced proportion of men and women,mainly middle-aged and young people;The educational background of tourists is relatively high,mostly in enterprises and institutions;The monthly wage level is medium to high;Most tourists said they were interested in sports tourism,but the acceptable consumption level was not high.(5)Tourists’ overall satisfaction with sports tourism in Fuyuan is relatively poor,especially in terms of infrastructure and product project content,followed by scenic spot services,accommodation,scenic spot environment and their own feelings.(6)The popularity of sports tourism resources in Fuyuan is relatively low,and it has not established its own brand image.In terms of publicity,it is not fully integrated with the Internet;The utilization rate of each network publicity platform is low;Insufficient publicity;The importance of sports tourism is not high.Finally,in the context of the construction of the ’China Russia economic corridor’,this paper proposes several development paths for Tourism Resources Based on the distribution of Physical Tourism Resources and the current state of Physical Tourism Development in Fuyuan city: first,establish and improve the border tourism management system,optimize the sports tourism consumption environment,improve relevant supporting facilities,and meet the fitness and tourism needs of consumers;Second,increase the professional training of employees,establish a multi-level talent training mechanism,and cultivate and introduce compound sports tourism talents;Third,focus on smart tourism,construct an information service system,and adopt a marketing advocacy model of multi-channel integrationl;Fourth,combined with the advantages of local sports tourism resources,develop characteristic sports tourism products and build Fuyuan’s own sports tourism brand system from the five types of leisure,health care,folk customs,wetlands and events. |
