Research On The Measurement And Influencing Factors Of The Integration Of Tourism And Sports Industries In Inner Mongolia

With the rapid development of China’s economy,the development of the tourism industry and the sports industry has also stepped into the fast track.The two industries belong to the third industry and have a strong comprehensive effect and pulling effect.More and more attention is focused on the integration and development of the two industries.Since 2010,China has issued a series of policies to promote the integrated development of tourism industry and sports industry and accelerate the cultivation of sports tourism formats.Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has a vast territory and a long history.Its unique geological landforms,superior tourism resources and diverse sports resources have created good conditions for the integration and development of tourism industry and sports industry.In the new period of development of the "14th Five-Year Plan",Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has clearly put forward the development goal of promoting the integration of sports and tourism,and a correct understanding of the level of integration and development of the tourism and sports industries in Inner Mongolia and its influencing factors is conducive to the deeper integration of the two and to the high-quality development of the economy.In this context,this article reads and combs through a large number of relevant literature,and first provides a descriptive introduction to the current status and integration process of the tourism and sports industries in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region based on existing research.Secondly,based on coupling coordination theory,a comprehensive evaluation index system for the development level of Inner Mongolia’s tourism and sports industries is constructed,and the entropy method is used to measure the development level of the two industries between 2011 and 2020.Furthermore,a fusion degree,fusion coordination degree,and synchronicity model are constructed to explore the fusion type in each year.Then,based on the industry fusion theory,a fusion coordination degree influencing factor model is constructed,and the grey correlation analysis method is used to empirically analyze the influencing factors of the fusion development of the two industries,followed by a discussion of the influencing factors.Finally,optimization directions are provided to achieve deeper integration and development of the two industries.The main conclusions are as follows:From 2011 to 2017,the development of Inner Mongolia’s tourism and sports industries showed an increasing trend.The tourism industry reached its peak in 2017 and began to fluctuate and decline.The sports industry reached its highest point in nearly 10 years in 2018,but its development index continued to decline.The synchronous decline of the two industries in 2019 coincided with the impact of the epidemic and the domestic market downturn.In terms of temporal changes,the fusion coordination degree of the two major industries in Inner Mongolia has continued to rise since 2011,reaching a peak of 0.8061 in 2017,indicating a good coordination level.This reflects the increasing correlation and integration level between the two industries,and the development of the industries has become more coordinated.In 2018,with the gradually strengthening connection between the tourism and sports industries,there was an excessive dependence on each other,which led to a decrease in system resilience.Due to the impact of the external environment,the fusion coordination state began to decline and fell to a barely coordinated state in 2020.From the perspective of indicators,the average ranking of the correlation degree of the fusion development between Inner Mongolia’s tourism and sports industries is: demand factors > economic factors > enterprise competition > policy factors.In terms of specific indicators,the correlation degree of indicators related to the development of the sports industry,such as the added value of the sports industry,public financial expenditure on the sports industry,and the number of employees in the sports industry,is higher than that of indicators related to the development of the tourism industry,which is in line with the development trend of the industry.Therefore,while ensuring the stable development of the tourism industry,more emphasis should be placed on the development of the sports industry to effectively promote the integration and development of the two industries.After reaching the conclusions,this article provides suggestions for promoting the integration and development of Inner Mongolia’s tourism and sports industries from the perspectives of the tourism industry,sports industry,government,and enterprises.
