The issue of educational discipline has long been a hot issue in the field of education concerned by the central government,society and the masses.The problem of education and punishment is a small incision,but it is related to the school’s comprehensive implementation of the party’s education policy,the implementation of the great strategy of Building Morality and cultivating people,and the construction of a good education ecology.Educational punishment is an educational means for schools and teachers to correct students’ wrong behaviors and take warning from them through punishment and discipline,which ultimately achieves the goal of educating students and ensures the smooth development of education and teaching.The disciplinary rules for primary and secondary education(for Trial Implementation),which was officially implemented in 2021,clearly stipulates that the disciplinary rules for primary and secondary education(for Trial Implementation)is to implement the fundamental task of Building Morality and cultivating people,ensure and standardize schools and teachers to perform their educational,teaching and management responsibilities according to law,protect students’ legitimate rights and interests,and promote students’ healthy growth and all-round development The law on the prevention of juvenile delinquency and other laws and regulations and the relevant provisions of the state.The rules emphasize that the implementation of educational punishment should follow the principles of education,legitimacy and appropriateness,"comply with the law of education and pay attention to the effect of education;follow the principle of rule of law and be objective and fair;choose appropriate measures to adapt to the degree of students’ fault".It is clear that educational punishment is not punishment,but a way of education.It emphasizes the educational attribute of educational punishment,which is a specific way for schools and teachers to exercise the right of education,management and evaluation.Schools and teachers shall abide by the law of education,perform their duties according to law,correct students’ wrong words and deeds in time and cultivate students’ awareness of rules and responsibility through the implementation of active discipline and education punishment.The administrative department of education shall support,guide and supervise schools and their teachers to implement educational punishment according to law and regulations.The disciplinary rules for primary and secondary education(for Trial Implementation)has been officially implemented,and many specific problems that have been plagued and tangled between schools and families for a long time have rigid criteria.However,after there are rules and laws to follow,what problems may be encountered in the implementation,and how should families and schools-implementers and recipients turn the power of discipline into a powerful part of education,a series of problems still need to be explored in practice.As a kind of important educational measures and methods,educational punishment has been an important part of educational responsibilities since ancient times.Especially in the stage of basic education,students not only need to learn knowledge and master basic learning methods,but also develop good conduct and cultivate complete personality,so as to ensure that they can have the knowledge,ability,quality and character to fully enter the society.Education and punishment is an indispensable means to cultivate students’ good conduct and complete personality.However,under the influence of many factors,educational punishment faces many disputes,such as vicious educational punishment and excessive educational punishment,which lead to social misunderstanding of educational punishment.In view of this,this study takes middle school education punishment as the research field to explore the applicable scope,strength and effect of education punishment,in order to respond to the frequent doubts of education punishment.Through practical investigation and in-depth interviews,this paper mainly selects the methods of questionnaire,observation and interview method to take the current situation of middle school education punishment in M District of X city where the researcher is located as an example.Through exploring the problems existing in the school’s education punishment,this paper analyzes the reasons for the problems of education punishment,and proposes countermeasures to solve the problems of educational punishment.This paper mainly investigates the teachers’ and students’ cognition of educational punishment,the process of teachers’ educational punishment and the effect of teachers’ educational punishment,and finally comes to the conclusion that there are the following problems in the middle school educational punishment in M District of X city: Teachers’ misunderstanding of educational punishment,the lack of appropriate standards in the way of educational punishment,the random implementation of educational punishment The educational effect of educational punishment is not good.This study believes that there are four main reasons for the emergence of problems: teachers,schools,parents and society.Combined with the survey,this paper puts forward targeted suggestions from the teacher level,school level,family level and social level,hoping to provide relevant reference for improving educational punishment.
