HPS model integrates the history of science,philosophy of science and sociology of science.Its theoretical basis is constructivism theory.HPS model help them understand the nature of science and cultivate scientific literacy.The history of chemistry includes the birth and development of chemistry,it contains rich humanistic spirit and scientific spirit.The study of the history of chemistry in China has achieved good results.However,the teaching method is still relatively simple,just introducing the history of chemistry as material.The educational function of the history of chemistry cannot be well developed.HPS mode provides a good solution.This paper integrates the HPS model with the history of chemistry,cultivates students’ view of the nature of science,and improves their scores,it has a lot of research value and innovation.This paper includes the following points:The first part is the research background,which describes the research status of HPS and the history of chemistry at home and abroad,as well as the significance and methods of this research.Then the literature is studied to determine the ideas and methods of this study.The second part of this paper introduces the theoretical basis of the research and explains the core concepts mentioned in the paper.The third part is the teaching design.The 2019 edition of Chemistry book of PEP was selected for this study and the content of the textbook is studied,and then I conducted teaching design for REDOX reaction,ion reaction and atomic structure.The fourth part is practical research and data processing.I chose two classes with similar levels of high school in Yan ’an to teach,I started teaching the students in the experimental class with the model of HPS,the other class was taught the same way as before.By analyzing the collected data,it is proved that this way can cultivate students’ view of the nature of science,and it is also found that there is no difference in teaching effect due to gender difference.And there was no significant improvement in score.The fifth part of the paper discusses the problems in this study,and the possible problems and solutions in the future research are explained.The conclusion of this study is:firstly,it can help students have a deep understanding of the nature of science,so as to improve their scientific literacy.Secondly,it can improve academic performance to a certain extent,but the effect is not obvious.Thirdly,the application of HPS and chemical history in chemistry teaching has some innovation,it makes up for the defect that the science education function of chemical history is not fully reflected in the previous research,and it also can cultivate students’ chemical accomplishment. |
