Mr.Lu Xun’s works occupy an important position in the teaching of Chinese in secondary schools."Hometown" was published in 1921 and selected into the middle school language textbook in 1923,and its profound understanding of ideological value and special artistic expression value made "Hometown" a "final" work in language textbooks.In the teaching process of nearly a hundred years,the teaching of"Hometown" has gradually deepened and matured with the innovation of language education,but the problems of "Hometown" is difficult to teach and "Hometown" is difficult to learn" have always existed.This classic,which is known as Mr.Lu Xun’s"going to the people",is still facing many teaching obstacles in the continuous development of language education.Looking back at the teaching history of "Hometown",it can be found that the teaching of "Hometown" in the Republic of China period was relatively simple,but teachers had a relatively free teaching space,and students have the most direct and in-depth communication with texts;language education in the "Seventeen Years" period is increasingly "politicized",and "Hometown" has become a model for criticizing the old society;entering the "new period",the diversification of theme interpretation,the multi-angle of character analysis,and the diversification of teaching methods have opened up the teaching mode of "Hometown";since the twenty-first century,"Hometown" has become open.Teaching began to develop to a deeper level,and the re-exploration of the theme,the aestheticization of character analysis and the teaching perspective of focusing on the subjectivity of students made the teaching of "Hometown" rejuvenated and also faced new challenges.Investigating the current teaching of "Hometown",it can be seen that the difficulty of theme interpretation,the difficulty of character analysis,the difficulty of emotional resonance,and the difficulty of language obscurity are the difficulties when teachers teach "Hometown" and students learn "Hometown".So what should "Hometown" teach,and how should it be taught? Reflect on problems from history,learn from experience,find out the dilemma from the current situation,and analyze the reasons,the author for the future teaching of "Hometown",the following suggestions are put forward: in terms of content,pay attention to the profundity of the connotation of the theme,grasp the typicality of the character image,and give full play to the aesthetics of the text from the beauty of style and the beauty of language.Strategically,first of all,based on the requirements of the new curriculum standards,activate personalized reading;secondly,we must pay attention to the creation of scenarios and find the "resonance" melting point;then with the help of group reading,comparative reading and the form of reading to promote writing,broaden the reading horizon and expand the teaching space;and fully tap the film and television resources to improve the teaching effect.
