For junior high school students,physical education is a basic course to ensure their physical fitness.The continuous reform of the PE exams for junior high school students has gradually adjusted the physical education teaching in middle schools,which has an impact on the students’ physical education curriculum and class conditions,and to a certain extent.It is conducive to enhancing the importance of students and parents to physical education,the initiative to physical exercise,and it plays an important role in improving the physical quality and physical and mental health of young people,and it is also conducive to the improvement of the ability of physical education teachers.Fangcheng County is located in Nanyang City,Henan Province.It is a typical northern town.Understanding the current situation of junior high school physical education in Fangcheng County will help to understand the current situation of junior high school physical education in Henan Province’s thirdand fourth-tier cities under the background of the reform of the physical education examination for the secondary school.Through questionnaire surveys and interviews with junior high school students and physical education teachers in other cities and counties,we learned about the implementation of Fangcheng County’s junior high school physical examinations in recent years,the situation of physical education,and the influencing factors of junior high school physical education in Fangcheng County.Analyzing the survey results,we can understand that there are the following shortcomings: Fangcheng County’s teaching subjects need to strengthen their understanding of the physical examination of the senior high school entrance examination;junior high school physical education teaching content lacks systematic and comprehensiveness;insufficient utilization of teaching resources,insufficient hardware facilities such as playground equipment;The professional quality of the junior high school physical education teachers in Fangcheng County is uneven;the junior high school physical education teaching evaluation system is not perfect,and the organization and management standard is insufficient.Combining the actual situation of Fangcheng County’s middle schools,some suggestions are put forward,mainly: publicity and guidance,full understanding of the purpose of the physical examination in the recruitment,to ensure the consistency of junior high school physical education and physical education goals;optimizing the teaching content of junior high school physical education,and innovating physical education classes Teaching methods that match the high school entrance examination items;integrate existing teaching resources and expand the utilization rate of sports equipment suitable for the high school entrance examination;improve the professional quality of physical education teachers,cultivate students’ exercise behaviors and habits of independent exercise;improve school physical education teaching evaluation System,guide and organize students to take the initiative to carry out extracurricular exercises.Through this research,it will help scholars to further understand the actual situation of Henan Province’s middle school physical examination and junior high school physical education,and help Henan Province’s junior high school physical examination and teaching to further improve,upgrade and research.
