The 21 st century is an era of rapid development of information technology, and in recent years, the rapid development of artificial intelligence has also gradually pushed human beings towards the age of intelligence. The demand for talents in the new era is also gradually transforming from knowledge-based talents to innovative talents,so as to better promote national digital development and innovation. In 2022,the Ministry of Education updated and promulgated the curriculum outline for compulsory education and the curriculum standards for each subject, many of which explicitly point to the cultivation of students’ creativity. In order to better promote the cultivation of creativity in actual teaching and learning, and to integrate the cultivation of creativity into students’ problem solving process, this paper based on the Creative Problem-solving(CPS)model,explores the design and practice of learning activities in junior high school information technology courses in order to provide some reference basis for developing students’ creative problem solving ability in junior high school information technology courses..This study adopts literature research method, design research method, questionnaire survey method and interview method, etc.Firstly,it composes the development history and research status of CPS model, and clarifies the application of CPS model in teaching.Secondly, the current situation of creativity cultivation in junior high school information technology courses was analyzed through actual research, from which the current teaching status and the existing problems and challenges were summarized. Finally, according to the characteristics of CPS model and the results of questionnaire research, the design process of CPS model in junior high school information technology course learning activities was planned, and two class cases of "creation of Word electronic board" and "creation of Word spreadsheet" were designed for teaching practice in junior high school information technology course with seventh grade students in a school as the teaching objects. The teaching effect of this course after implementation was evaluated comprehensively based on students’ classroom performance, students’ works, questionnaire and interview results. This study summarized the "four components and eight stages" design process of the CPS model in junior high school information technology course learning activities, including four components of understanding the challenge, generating ideas, preparing for action, and evaluating summaries, each component contains clear stages, and each stage describes in detail the specific teacher activities and student activities. After the teaching practice,we found that the learning activities have a certain positive effect on the cultivation of seventh grade students, which can effectively strengthen students’ creative tendencies, specifically in the form of risk-taking,imagination,and challenge, and enhance students’ problem solving ability, teamwork ability and creative thinking ability, and students can achieve the learning effect of "learning by creating" in the course learning activities.Based on the effectiveness of teaching practice, the study proposes teaching suggestions to provide appropriate learning support, guide students to iterative innovation, and take advantage of cooperative learning to optimize the effect of cultivating students’ creative problem solving ability,so as to better meet the needs of students’ creative learning and future development.
