Since entering the new era,family education has received more attention from all walks of life,and has gradually been regarded as the initial basis for national prosperity,national rejuvenation and social progress,as well as an important part of China’s education cause and education system.Good early family education can not only lay a foundation for children’s future happy life,but also support them from the "root",so that they can improve the possibility of a happy life in the future.Influenced by many factors such as China’s historical tradition,social pressure and extended life expectancy of grandparents,the phenomenon of inter-generational education is becoming more and more common,and grandparents are playing an increasingly important role in family education.At present,the concept of lifelong learning is being developed in an implicit way.Under the guidance of the concept,a series of theoretical and practical explorations such as learning society,learning city and learning community construction have been derived at the same time.Therefore,this study aims to further explore the strategies for improving the educational quality of grandparents from the perspective of lifelong learning.Specifically,this study takes some preschool children’s grandparents as investigation object in Lanzhou City.Through the questionnaire survey method,the author found that the grandparents’ educational quality and the lifelong learning condition were investigated.The author also explored the ancestral parents,the correlation among the current situation of their educational quality and lifelong learning,and lifelong learning situation of the educational quality of their predictions.According to the survey results,there is almost a significant correlation between the educational quality of grandparents and the status of lifelong learning,and almost all dimensions of the status of lifelong learning have significant predictive power to the educational quality of grandparents.However,according to the survey results,in terms of the current situation of lifelong learning,the awareness and motivation of grandparents in lifelong learning need to be improved,and the obstacles in economy,life,information,system and other aspects seriously hinder the development of their lifelong learning practice.In terms of educational quality,although the general trend of educational knowledge,educational concept,educational method and educational ability of grandparents is good,the general trend of the item is in the "uncertain" level.Based on the survey results and the current shortcomings of grandparents in lifelong learning and educational quality,this study proposed relevant strategies for improving grandparents’ educational quality from five perspectives of family,school,community,home-school cooperation and self-initiative based on the ecosystem theory.Firstly,from the perspective of families,the educational quality of grandparents can be improved by enhancing their awareness of lifelong learning,reducing their lifelong learning barriers and building a family learning community.Secondly,from the point of view of schools,the educational quality of grandparents can be improved by promoting grandparents’ school participation,carrying out school research and experiment,and improving teachers’ professional ability of family education guidance.Thirdly,from the perspective of the community,we can improve the educational quality of grandparents by optimizing the community environment,clarifying the operation logic of family education guidance in the community,and setting up relevant institutions for family education.Fourthly,from the perspective of home-school cooperation,we can enhance the educational quality of grandparents by strengthening the understanding between home-school cooperation and the educational quality of grandparents,accelerating the establishment and expansion of the organization and functions of home-school cooperation,and integrating the concept of "inter-generational learning" with the educational quality of grandparents.Fifthly,from the perspective of grandparents’ subjective initiative,grandparents can promote their own educational quality through positive changes in their self-concept,knowledge,emotion and action.
