The status of Chinese in the world has become more and more important recently,so many schools have begun to set up Chinese courses.However,in recent years,the COVID-19 virus epidemic has affected education in various countries,and Chinese teaching has also been seriously affected.The Indonesian Ministry of Education has announced from March 2020:The offline classroom teaching of all schools and cram schools in China has been changed to online teaching.Chinese teaching also adopts the method of online teaching,but this is the first time in Indonesia,therefore,there are many difficulties and problems in the learning process.Based on this background,in order to understand the situation of online Chinese teaching in Indonesia and make online Chinese teaching in Indonesia more effective,this paper investigates the online teaching situation in Indonesian national secondary schools,the research site selected four middle schools in Indonesia,and analyzed the situation of online Chinese teaching in Indonesian middle schools through survey data statistics,interviews and observations.In order to have a more comprehensive understanding of the situation of online Chinese teaching in Indonesia,the author also interviewed the Chinese teachers of the school.The first chapter of this paper is the introduction,which mainly includes the background and significance of the topic selection,a review of relevant research results at home and abroad,research content,research methods and research innovations.The second chapter is about the investigation and analysis of online Chinese teaching in Indonesian middle schools.This part is divided into the development of Indonesian Chinese education,the analysis of online teaching platforms in Indonesia,the setting of Chinese courses in Indonesian middle schools,the situation of Chinese teachers in Indonesia,and the research on online Chinese teaching and teaching resources in Indonesia.Compare these six aspects with online teaching and offline teaching in Indonesia.The third chapter is about the survey design of Indonesian middle school students’ online learning behavior,including research objects,research tools,SPSS statistical data analysis and analysis of the survey results.The fourth chapter is the survey and analysis of the online behavior of Indonesian middle school students,the main contents are the analysis of the overall situation of learning behavior,the analysis of problem solving and the analysis of online learning platform.The fifth chapter is about the survey conclusions and countermeasures of online Chinese teaching in Indonesian middle schools.This analysis found the following problems:1.Schools should improve network condition;2.Problems with online teaching platforms;3.Difficulties in online teaching management and activity supervision;Some countermeasures are proposed:first,the network signal needs to be improved;second,the integration of online teaching platforms;third,strengthening the management and activities of online teaching;fourth,enhancing students’ participation in teaching activities.The sixth chapter is the conclusion.The main content includes the research results,the insufficiency of this paper and further research ideas.This paper hopes that this research can be helpful for the future of online teaching in Indonesia.
