| The Yimeng region is a well-known old revolutionary region in China,containing valuable red resources and nurturing the Yimeng spirit,which has unique nurturing values.Yimeng spirit is an important part of the spiritual spectrum of the Communist Party of China and is a precious spiritual treasure of the Party and the people.Promoting Yimeng spirit is of great significance to the inheritance of the red gene.General Secretary Xi Jinping’s "Speech at the Mobilization Conference on Party History Learning and Education" states that "we should grasp the learning and education of young people,focus on telling the story of the Party,the story of the revolution and the story of heroes,and thicken the sentiment of love for the Party,love for the country and love for socialism,so that the red gene and the revolutionary fire will be passed on from generation to generation." Teachers in general should work together to explore the nurturing value of Yimeng spirit and bring into play the nurturing function of Yimeng spirit.At this stage,the integration of Yimeng spirit into the teaching of high school ideological and political course has achieved initial results.Through the application of educational resources on Yimeng spirit,it is conducive to cultivating the core literacy of ideological and political subjects among high school students,promoting the integration of ideological and political courses with the wider society,and promoting Party history learning and education into teaching materials and classes and minds.The paper aims to analyse the main problems and causes of the integration of Yimeng spirit into the teaching of high school ideology and politics in the Yimeng region,and to propose targeted integration strategies.The major article consists of three parts.The first part outlines the formation of Yimeng spirit,the scientific connotation of Yimeng spirit and the significance of integrating Yimeng spirit into the teaching of high school ideology and politics.In the second part,by conducting a survey in general senior secondary schools in Linyi and combining the existing theoretical results,the basic survey is sorted out and analysed to know the effectiveness,problems and reasons for the integration of Yimeng spirit into the teaching of high school ideological and political course.There are two main results: teachers consciously integrate Yimeng spirit into their teaching,and students’ interest in learning about the depth of Yimeng spirit tends to grow.There are currently the following problems: teachers are not motivated to develop teaching resources on Yimeng spirit,the Yimeng spirit is not deeply integrated into the classroom teaching process,teachers use monotonous teaching methods,and students lack an in-depth understanding of Yimeng spirit.The reasons for the problems broadly include teachers’ failure to deeply understand the value of Yimeng spirit in fostering a correct view of Party history among students,teachers fail to create awareness of the regularity of party history learning and education,teachers’ lack of motivation to innovate teaching methods,and imperfect teaching evaluation mechanisms.The third part is based on problem solving and proposes optimisation strategies from teachers,schools,education authorities and parents respectively to enhance the effectiveness of the integration of the Yimeng spirit in the teaching of high school ideology and politics,to cultivate students’ core literacy in the subject of ideology and politics,to give full play to the nurturing function of Yimeng spirit and to promote the normalisation of Party history learning and education. |
