With the continuous advancement of curriculum reform and the continuous updating of senior high school geography textbooks,the content and focus of the previous and new textbooks are also constantly changing.The “General High School Geography Curriculum Standard(2017 Edition)” puts forward specific requirements for the implementation and cultivation of comprehensive thinking.Students can understand geographical knowledge and phenomena from a comprehensive perspective of time and space,and have a better understanding of the relationship between geographical elements.With strong analytical ability,students can explain the occurrence and development of geographical things and phenomena to a certain extent.As an important carrier for high school students’ comprehensive thinking training,the cycle process of natural geography plays an irreplaceable role in high school geography textbooks.Carrying out the study of changes in geography textbooks will help to clarify the essential characteristics of the knowledge of physical geography cycle process and the general trend of textbook writing.Based on the literature research method,the article sorts out relevant literature at home and abroad,summarizes the research status of domestic and foreign knowledge of physical geography cycle process,and uses content analysis method,contrast method,ISM analysis method and other methods to analyze the 2002 and 2004 editions published by the People’s Education Press.And the 2019 edition of high school geography textbooks are analyzed with the content of the cycle process of physical geography.From three aspects of the selection of knowledge,the form of content organization,and the logical structure of knowledge,the characteristics of changes in the natural geography cycle process of high school geography textbooks are analyzed,the influencing factors of the changes in high school geography textbooks are studied,and the reference suggestions for the revision of some textbooks and the use of textbooks in the cycle process of natural geography are put forward.Refer to suggestions.The research mainly draws the following conclusions:(1)The following changes have taken place in the cycle of natural geography in high school geography textbooks: in the selection of knowledge points,more attention is paid to the level of students’ mental development,and the connection with the case is more closely.Although the core six cycles of natural geography have not been deleted,the order change.In the organization of content,the logic of the text system is strengthened,the image system is more abundant,and the contextuality of the activity system is enhanced.In the logical structure of textbooks,the stratification of knowledge elements is more obvious,the correlation between knowledge points is closer,and the structure of knowledge points is more comprehensive.(2)There are many factors that affect the change of the natural geography cycle in high school geography textbooks,mainly including the promulgation of high school geography curriculum standards,the advancement of geography to geographical science,changes in social stages,social and economic development,and progress in science and technology,etc.(3)Finally,it puts forward the reference suggestions for the revision and use of textbooks on the circulation process of physical geography.Textbook revision suggestions: appropriately increase the content of field observations and research methods in the cycle of physical geography,consider the mental development of students in content organization,increase the number of geographic distribution maps and landscape maps in the image system,and add extracurricular practice homework in the activity system.Suggestions for teachers: Implement the case teaching method,develop students’ geographic practice,give full play to the functions of image and activity systems,and update geographic teaching materials.
