Model-based Students’ Life Concept In High School Biology Teaching

Abstract/Summary:
The new curriculum standard of senior high school clearly points out that the learning purpose of biology curriculum is to develop students’ core literacy of biology discipline.The concept of life is at the top of discipline literacy,with unique characteristics of biology discipline.In the curriculum standard,it is pointed out that the concept of life mainly includes structure and function,evolution and adaptation,homeostasis and balance,material and energy,etc.Biology,as a frontier subject closely related to the survival and development of the whole human beings,has its own unique lifelong education and teaching value in cultivating the core qualities of modern students.Students can finally form the concept of life,which is the key to achieve the goal of biology curriculum.This research focuses on the life concept education of high school biology,and it is an ordinary high school in Tongliao City.The biology teachers are all new teachers,less teaching experience,weak student foundation,and the entrance score is lower than the average score of about 220 in the city.This paper uses interview methods and other research methods to investigate the life concept education of biology teachers and students.The results show that even if the cultivation of life concept is concerned by the country and schools,it is not fully implemented at the teacher level,and students’ understanding of life concept is not thorough.According to the survey results and combined with the current advanced teaching concept,this research puts forward the strategy of cultivating the life concept through building the model,and establishes the connection with the life concept to help students build the framework of the life concept.The research results show that: 1.Teachers do not understand the connotation of the life concept clearly,and the main idea of the new curriculum standard is not in place.2.Through literature review and exploration of new curriculum standards,the implementation of new curriculum standards should implement the big concept of learning in place.3.Through the method of model construction,it can well help the students with poor foundation to implement the learning of life concept,understand the big concept of biology,and form the big framework of life concept.4.The process of teacher teaching through model method is conducive to their own professional growth and become teachers who fully understand the concept of life.The solutions are as follows: 1.On the one hand,teachers should pay attention to the learning of the new curriculum standard,and on the other hand,they should maintain a learning mentality and study the modeling method attentively.2.Schools and relevant departments should provide a learning platform for teachers,and strengthen the supervision of teachers’ learning.3.Teachers should,on the basis of paying attention to the teaching of the model method,and carry out a variety of activities consistent with the connotation of the model method,so as to silently cultivate students’ concept of life.This paper focuses on the study of how to strengthen the concept of life in the teaching activities of high school biology,aiming to provide reference for the majority of middle school teachers teaching through rich teaching strategies and practical cases.
