| With the expansion of colleges and universities,the number of college graduates has increased year by year,coupled with the outbreak of the new crown epidemic in 2020,this has made the employment of graduates face unprecedented challenges.When graduates are unable to cope with the employment environment,they may have employment pressure,which in turn affects their own psychological conditions.Due to the impact of the epidemic,the application of graduates has changed from on-site to online.The employment process of physical education graduates involves operational tests,skill demonstrations,etc.due to their own professional characteristics.However,many educational institutions cannot effectively and intuitively evaluate physical education graduates without organizing recruitment due to online interviews.Therefore,physical education graduates may face greater employment pressure.Relevant studies have shown that employment pressure is closely related to negative emotions.Employment pressure can positively predict negative emotions,and the degree of influence between the two variables may also change under the influence of some moderating variables.Mental toughness is a positive psychological resource.Individuals with high mental toughness are more capable of withstanding stress.Mental toughness may be a moderating variable between employment pressure and negative emotions.Therefore,this research is based on investigating the adjustment mechanism of mental toughness between employment pressure and negative emotions of physical education graduates.Using the Employment Stress Scale,Negative Emotion Scale,and Mental Resilience Scale to survey 650 physical education graduates from five universities in Wuhan,the results are as follows:(1)The employment pressure of physical education graduates is at the lower-middle level,the negative emotions are at a low level,and the mental toughness is at the upper-middle level.(2)There are significant differences in demographic variables in employment pressure,negative emotions,and mental toughness of physical education graduates.The employment pressure and negative emotions of female graduates are significantly higher than those of men,and the mental toughness is significantly lower than that of men;the employment pressure and negative emotions of undergraduate graduates are significantly higher than that of master students;the employment pressure and mental toughness of rural graduates are significantly higher than urban graduates;the employment pressure of non-only-child graduates is significantly higher than that of only-child graduates;the employment pressure and negative emotions of graduates with good family economic conditions are lower than those of graduates with ordinary and poor family economic conditions.(3)Employment pressure of physical education graduates is significantly positively correlated with negative emotions,and negatively correlated with mental toughness,and negative emotions are significantly negatively correlated with mental toughness.(4)Employment pressure of physical education graduates has a significant positive predictive effect on negative emotions.mental toughness plays a regulatory role between employment pressure and negative emotions,and has a weakened buffering effect. |
