Research On China’s Sports Diplomacy In The New Era

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,China’s status as a great power has been significantly enhanced,and it is approaching the center of the world stage as never before.People to people and cultural exchanges have become one of the three pillars of China’s diplomacy in the New Era.Sports is an important field of people to people and cultural exchanges with foreign countries.It has become a highlight of China’s diplomacy in the New Era.This study takes China’s Sports Diplomacy in the New Era as the research object,using the methods of literature,quantitative research,comparative research,etc.This study analyzes the connotation of Sports Diplomacy,the necessity and feasibility of China’s Sports Diplomacy in the New Era,combs the achievements and problems of China’s Sports Diplomacy in the New Era,and puts forward some countermeasures and suggestions.The research shows that New China has a good tradition of Sports Diplomacy,and the development of Sports Diplomacy is an important way to implement the major national strategic development tasks.The strategic significance and unique attributes of Sports Diplomacy in the New Era fully highlight its important value,and China has the favorable conditions to carry out Sports Diplomacy extensively in the New Era.The practical forms and achievements of China’s Sports Diplomacy in the New Era include:the head of state frequently carries out Sports Diplomacy;sports has become an important field of Sino foreign exchanges and cooperation;intensively holds large-scale sports events;actively participates in international sports competitions;and widely carries out international sports assistance.In the New Era,China’s Sports Diplomacy is facing the following challenges and problems:the situation of the western leading international sports order has not changed,the international public opinion environment is still grim,the Sports Diplomacy management system is not perfect,the Sports Diplomacy talent team construction needs to be strengthened,and the sports culture and value communication ability is low.It is suggested that:China should take the following measures to improve its Sports Diplomacy:(1)China should deepen its participation in international sports affairs.(2)Actively improve the international public opinion environment:improve the ability of sports exchange platform creation and application;optimize the mode of communication,enhance the international communication ability.(3)To improve the management system and mechanism of Sports Diplomacy,we should establish a systematic system and mechanism,and build a multi-body system of Sports Diplomacy.(4)Strengthen the training and transportation of talents:improve the training system of Sports Diplomacy talents;strengthen the transportation of talents to international sports organizations.(5)Enhance the soft power of Chinese Sports Culture:realize the creative transformation and innovative development of Chinese traditional sports;highlight the cultural symbols of Chinese traditional sports and create brand events.
