Research On The Relationship Between Sports Diplomacy And Mass Sports In China

With the development of globalization and the enhancement of international interdependence,international collaborations in sports are increasingly frequent,and sports diplomacy also becomes an important part of China's public diplomacy.Sports diplomacy is an important means to popularize and develop modern sports,while popular sports is the basis and objective for the launch of sports diplomacy.Since China's sports diplomacy attaches more importance on event diplomacy with international sports events as the focus,and sports exchanges with abroad at popular mass level are relatively insignificant,it is urgent to achieve synergetic development of both.Through case studies on the influence of 1990 Beijing Asian Games,2008 Beijing Olympic Games and 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games on China's popular sports,and the role of two popular sports,martial art and Taekwondo,in China's sports diplomacy,the complementary and mutual-boosting relationship between China's sports diplomacy and popular sports,as well as the important roles they played in each other's development were established in this research.In order to accurately understand the action mechanism of influential factors between sports diplomacy and popular sports,on the basis of case studies,further verifications were carried out in the perspectives of government input,living standard,cultural quality,physical concepts and behaviors,professional guidance,physical infrastructure and laws and regulations,providing foundation and support for the synergetic development of China's sports diplomacy and popular sports.2022 Beijing-Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Games will be the third Olympic event hosted by China.In light of the impact of 2008 Beijing Olympic Games on improvement of China's image,transmission of China's culture,stimulation to the development of popular sports and other aspects,this impact will be further deepened after the Winter Olympic Games.Therefore,we should seize the opportunity and take full advantage of the platform of the Winter Olympic Games,to push forward the progress of popular sports with sports diplomacy and accelerate the development of sports diplomacy with popular sports,and further make contributions to build China into a real sports power and realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!...
