The motivation of biology learning is the intrinsic motivation to stimulate students to carry out biology learning,which directly affects the direction,process and effect of students’ biology learning.With the continuous development of biological science,the quality requirements of various majors are higher and higher,and the educational policy is constantly changing.Therefore,it is necessary to investigate and study the current situation and influencing factors of high school students’ biological learning motivation.This study first classifies the learning motivation according to the theory,determines the influencing factors,and compiles the item to form the questionnaire.Secondly,the initial test and reliability and validity analysis of the questionnaire were carried out.After the project was revised,a formal questionnaire was formed and issued.Finally,using the sample data to analyze the current high school students’ biological learning motivation in many aspects: First,using descriptive analysis to determine the current background of high school students’ biological learning motivation and the intensity and level of influencing factors.Secondly,using t-test and ANOVA test to analyze the differences in gender,achievement,city,and course selection orientation.Thirdly,using correlation analysis and regression analysis to determine the influence degree of each influencing factor on learning motivation.The results show that:(1)The current high school students’ biological learning motivation level is strong,in which the internal motivation is significantly higher than the external motivation,which is dominant.(2)There are no gender differences in the biological learning motivation of senior high school students.There are significant differences in performance,selection orientation and some regions.(3)Some of the influencing factors of learning motivation have gender differences and regional differences,and all of them have differences in achievement and subject selection orientation.(4)Anxiety,self-efficacy and negative attribution are the main factors that affect students’ academic performance.Interest,classmate communication and negative attribution are the main factors that affect students’ choice of subjects.(5)The influencing factors of high school students’ biological learning motivation are self-efficacy,interest,classmate communication,parents’ participation and negative attribution.At the same time,the results show that the current high school students have the following problems in biology learning:(1)Whether biology contributes to employment is one of the most concerned questions in the current biology study of students.(2)Only half of the students can decide to volunteer in the future,and half of the students are still in the stage of consideration for the future volunteer choice.(3)Most senior high school students think that biological experiments can improve their ability of observation and thinking,but their self-efficacy of biological experiments is weak.(4)Most high school students want to be encouraged by their parents when they get good grades,but only a few think that their parents care about their study.(5)Most senior high school students hope to perform better than other students in ideology,but they have not implemented specific learning actions.Based on the above analysis results,this study puts forward the following suggestions:(1)Carry out the professional development education,and provide correct guidance for learning motivation.(2)Using biological experiments to cultivate scientific thinking,and improve self-efficacy.(3)Improve the participation of parents,increase affiliate drive.(4)Use peer group strength to group cooperation and competition.(5)Relieve students’ classroom anxiety,and guide students to make positive attribution.(6)Explore teaching resources,and fully enhance students’ interest.(7)According to the gender difference of students,implement the principle of teaching students according to their aptitude.The purpose of the suggestions to solve the problems existing in biology learning in high school students,to stimulate students’ motivation in biology learning,and to promote students’ biology learning effect. |
