This study takes examples of Cai-guan middle school, Shuang-pumiddle school and Ning-gu middle school’s students of An-shun City in XixiuDistrict to make an empirical study on the chemistry learning motivationstatus and influence factors.According to the related theory, we combine thereference to the existing questionnaire with the actual situation to work outquestionnaire of grade nine students’ chemistry learning motivation in ruralareas and influence factors as well as the differences in school, gender and sex.With the results of a survey of questionnaire, we analyze some influencefactors of grade nine students’ chemistry learning motivation in rural areas,such as internal factor-hierarchy of needs and value, external factor-biological materials, biological teachers, teacher-student relationship, style ofchemistry as well as intermediary cognitive factors-attribution of success andfailure to build regression equation.The results show that, with more learning motivation, the grade ninestudents in rural areas of Xixiu District have higher level.Their internalfactors play more important role than external factors. External factors areinfluenced by biological materials, biological teachers, teacher-studentrelationship while internal factors are significantly effected by biologicalmaterials, style of chemistry, biological teachers, teacher-student relationship and hierarchy of needs, more importantly, the level of influence factors aredecreasing.According to the results, the study puts forward related suggestions ofchemistry teaching reformation of grade nine students in rural areas to providesome theoretical and factual basis for chemistry teachers in middle school.
