Study On The Characteristics And Influencing Factors Of Interprovincial Spatial Migration Of Chinese Gay Groups

Sexual minority groups are a common form of sexual behavior in the development of human history and a group that cannot be ignored in our society.As a typical representative of sexual minorities,homosexuality has long been at the edge of society.Since the second half of the 20th century,European and American countries have affirmed and won the gay marriage and affirmation,and homosexuality has gradually entered the social field of vision.In this context,the constant evolution of gay ghetto has had a major impact on the political,economic and cultural aspects of the region.The migration of homosexuals and the occupation and utilization of urban space are attracted by regional development and changes.On the other hand,it also has an agglomeration effect,attracting more and more homosexuals to migrate to certain areas for economic and freedom.The migration of gay groups as a special migration will have an important impact on the politics,economy and culture of the region,city or local space.Studying the spatial migration characteristics and influencing factors of homosexual groups has practical guiding significance for understanding the characteristics of homosexual groups and rational allocation of urban resources.This paper takes the gay groups in the sexual minority as the research object,and deeply explores the spatial migration characteristics and influencing factors of the gay groups by crawling the gay data of the BF99.com gay dating website.Firstly,this paper studies the characteristics and spatial distribution pattern of gay groups,and then constructs the inter-provincial migration network of gay,focusing on the characteristics,network structure and cyberspace autocorrelation of gay inter-provincial migration and population migration.Finally,the QAP method of social network analysis is used to construct the influencing factors model of the gay inter-provincial migration network and population migration network,and the key factors affecting the gay inter-provincial migration are analyzed.The findings are as follows:(1)The male gay groups mainly consists of post-80s and post-90s,students and freelancers,single and unmarried individuals.The anonymity and virtual space of the network can make gay get rid of the social stigma under the traditional heterosexual hegemony,seek identity and build homosexual culture,and express diverse marriage and cultural appeals in the network.(2)The gay groups shows significant eastern dense and western sparse characteristics in space.Guangdong,Jiangsu,Beijing and other cities have experienced rapid changes in development and construction,with diverse and individualized lifestyles,increasing anonymity and inclusiveness,which are suitable for homosexuals to survive.The loose regional cultural character represented by Sichuan is also an important factor in the gathering of gay groups.(3)There is a strong contrast between the characteristics of gay inter-provincial migration and population migration.The average age of gay inter-provincial migration groups is relatively mature,with students,freelancers,and service industries as the mainstays;and spatial agglomeration is more obvious,forming a male-influence model centered on Beijing and Guangdong.The migration in the eastern region is active,and the northwestern border is less active due to various conditions.(4)The gay inter-provincial migration network structure is similar to the population migration.It shows the spatial characteristics of the eastern part of Hubei,Sichuan,Anhui and other central inland areas moving to the economically developed areas of Beijing,Tianjin,Zhejiang,Shanghai,Fujian and Guangdong.In the spatial autocorrelation of the migration network,the gay migration flow only shows the network autocorrelation based on the emigration place;since the destination selection of the gay migration is more concentrated,it mainly flows into the three major regions of Guangdong,Beijing and Shanghai,so,it does not represent the spatial agglomeration of the destination.(5)The economic drive caused by the difference in income levels of urban residents is the main pull of gay migration.Under the influence of distance and religious beliefs,the male homosexual group is more inclined to the areas where the development level is not much different and can provide better economic returns and higher social tolerance.At the same time,the industrial structure,employment opportunities and educational investment in the place of immigration are also considered.
