Yang Xianjiang was an early Marxist educational theorist and youth educator in China.He devoted his life to the reform of Chinese education and the study of youth education,and his educational thoughts were rich in content.His ideology of youth moral education is a characteristic moral theory based on excellent educational theories in China and abroad,and formed under the guidance of Marxism and combined with the actual situation of Chinese education and youth,which not only played a positive role in improving the moral cultivation of youth at that time,but also has important enlightening significance for the research of ideological and political education in the new era to cultivate qualified new men of the times and youth ideological and political education in China.The thesis uses documentary research method and historical research method to sort out Yang Xianjiang’s life and the theoretical origin of his thought on youth moral education from the original original text of Yang Xianjiang,excavate Yang Xianjiang’s concept of education and morality,outline the objectives,contents and realization ways of Yang Xianjiang’s thought on youth moral education,and summarize the historical value of Yang Xianjiang’s thought on youth moral education and the inspiration of ideological and political education,with a view to providing ideological and political education in the new era The aim is to provide a reference for ideological and political education in the new era to cultivate the new generation with strong ideals,deep patriotic feelings and high moral cultivation.The first part of the thesis discusses Yang Xianjiang’s life and the theoretical origin of his ideology of youth moral education.Through introducing Yang Xianjiang’s educational experience and practical activities,the thesis grasps his gradual ideological transformation to a Marxist position as a whole and systematically sorts out the theoretical origins of the formation of his ideology of youth moral education.The second part of the thesis composes Yang Xianjiang’s views on education and morality.By compiling and analyzing Yang Xianjiang’s original original writings on education and morality,his essence of education,purpose of education,effectiveness of education and views on morality are systematically elucidated in order to grasp the Marxist theoretical basis of his ideas on establishing moral education for youth as a whole.The third part of the paper analyzes the goals and contents of Yang Xianjiang’s youth moral education.Firstly,from the general and specific goals of Yang Xianjiang’s moral education for youth,it is outlined that the goal of his moral education is to cultivate "good" and "independent" youth.Then,he summarizes the good morals to be cultivated by young people from the aspects of personal morality and social morality,and clarifies the important role of these moral contents for the growth of young people.The fourth part of the thesis elaborates on Yang Xianjiang’s approach to moral education for youth.It focuses on Yang’s moral education methods and his discussion of the roles of principals,teachers,and students to clarify the ways to achieve his youth moral education,focusing on the implementation of individual contact,group activities,practical exercises,autonomous education,and other moral education methods and the construction of a democratic and free school environment.The fifth part of the thesis reveals the value and revelation of Yang Xianjiang’s thought on youth moral education.By combining Yang Xianjiang’s thoughts on youth moral education,the historical value of his thoughts on youth moral education is comprehensively summarized.And combined with the need of ideological and political education in the new era to cultivate the new man of the times,the significance of Yang Xianjiang’s youth moral education thought for cultivating the new man of the times is explored.
